Injury Updates

We got dat, z, Sheahan, helm, Anderson, glendening. CENTER IS FINE, legwand was added due to injuries...but to start the year Weiss wasn't what was needed at all.

We have a lack of top 6 wingers.

Sheahan and glendening? They were absolutely unknowns. The two call ups sheahan had before this season, he sucked

Definitely. I've been incredibly impressed with both of them, more so with Sheahan just because of the strides it seems he's made since those two cup of coffees. He's been incredibly consistent and has shown a great offensive touch too. That goal last night on price was a beauty. They'll be stupid if he doesn't start the season with them next year. And the same goes for Jurco too.

shaehan and glendog were unknowns, now they're not. center is fine.

need top 6 wingers? we have two in nyq and tatar.

just need everyone healthy and to trim the dead weight and the wings have a very good set of forwards.

defense is what is needed.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Pasha on a line with Abby or Jurco when he gets back. He needs someone who will throw their body around so he doesn't have to do it. Especially if he isn't at 100%. Gotta have some pull the piano around so he can play it.

I can see him with franzen and nyquist. Helm with Abby and alfy. Then Legwand with miller and glenny

Makes you wonder if they surprise the leafs and play in pav tomorrow night.

That would be unbelievable! I miss pav and hank so much

@AnsarKhanMLive: Weiss skated two days for first time in 10 days. Will skate again tomorrow. Feeling better but no way if knowing when he'll be ready.

Somewhat positive news on Weiss

And during Tatar's call-up during 2010-11 the guy couldn't even stay onside. I have a hard time remembering any of this team's prospects blowing people away during their initial call-up. Jurco and Nyquist were impressive, but most guys are going to struggle in limited roles.

I really hope we do get to see a healthy Weiss this year. The Wings really need to know what type of player he is. If he is still a shell of his former self, then we have some (limited) options for getting rid of him this summer, and keeping Legwand, who is a better, potentially cheaper version of Weiss.

If Weiss is healthy and rejuvenated and starts making an impact then we hang on to him, but I don't want to have the same problem as this year where we start the season with ten thousand forwards signed.

Very happy about the positive news on Datsyuk, I just hope he's fully healthy this time.

He played 1 game each on those two call ups, in no way is that an accurate measure.

Exactly, he wasn't very good in those two games, either way not an accurate measurement. The wings couldn't just assume a rookie would be that good and not sign a legitimate second line center
