jimmyemeryhunter 2,747 Report post Posted June 11, 2015 Put 10 bux on the Hawks for game 3, cashed in again (first bet was Tampa for game 2). Again, don't care who wins, but when there's an angle I'll roll the dice. I bet a buddy a case of beer this would be Chicago's in six or seven, if its six I have to share the beer. Paul MacLean's Mustache 44 Report post Posted June 12, 2015 (edited) I'm sure most have thought about this and apologies if it's already been discussed, but what would the sight of Stevie Y lifting the cup up not surrounded by red do for you? I'm thinking I'll ugly cry into a Bud Light Lime. Edited June 12, 2015 by Paul MacLean's Mustache

I'm thinking I'll ugly cry into a Bud Light Lime. I feel fairly certain that Stevie won't lift the Cup on the ice when they win. He probably won't even join them on the ice. Dr Dubya 32 Report post Posted June 13, 2015 Why wouldn't he? It's just his way. He didn't in '08. Said he wanted the players to have all the spotlight or something like that. We'll see.
Hockeytown0001 7,652 Report post Posted June 13, 2015 I wouldn't be surprised either way.
roboturner 562 Report post Posted June 13, 2015 It's just his way. He didn't in '08. Said he wanted the players to have all the spotlight or something like that. We'll see. It's a different situation this time around. In 08 he was still with the team he played for and was adored for. He didn't want to distract from the players that were still playing and won it. And he wasn't the GM. Now he's with a different franchise and this is a team he's been assembling for years. I'd guess he'd like to celebrate like any other GM would. Dr Dubya 32 Report post Posted June 14, 2015 I can't remember seeing so much lop-sided luck in a long time. Crawford turns the puck over and his punishment is Kucherov gets injured. Then he plays the puck in the no-zone and instead of giving away a penalty Bishop makes a mistake and Chicago scores. Wow! This is a test for Tampa.

GoWings1905 2,694 Report post Posted June 14, 2015 Well, this blows. I'll pass on watching the Hawks win the cup again in Game 6. Been a closer series overall than I expected, but the Blackhawks have been here before and just find a way to win.

Helmethead 235 Report post Posted June 14, 2015 (edited) Agreed. I hate the Hawks. But I give them full credit. You don't win 3 Cups in 6 years by being just lucky. Edited June 14, 2015 by Helmethead 1 GoWings1905 reacted to this

As much as I hate the Hawks, they are really frickin good. Gotta give them credit because winning it all in the NHL nowadays is tough with teams being so evenly matched and to do it three times in six years is quite impressive. I still think their fans are the scum of the earth, though.

GMRwings1983 8,803 Report post Posted June 14, 2015 If Stamkos is one of the best players in the world, he hasn't looked like it. You can't disappear in two of four playoff series in the playoffs and be one of the best in the world. . And that little ***** boy Tyler Johnson hasn't been scoring much since the first several rounds.

And that little ***** boy Tyler Johnson hasn't been scoring much since the first several rounds. To be fair, it's very obvious Johnson's injured. He's taken one draw in the last 4 games I think. Before that, he'd never played a game without taking a faceoff. He's their #2 faceoff guy and can't take a draw. Something's wrong. That's the playoffs. They look to be falling apart in health like the 2009 Red Wings.

That kind of guy is nothing without his (excellent) wrists. Might aswell be the waterboy would have been better for the team. With this in mind I pondered playing the Hawks moneyline but backed out. Bad move but the angle wasn't sharp enough. Edited June 14, 2015 by Jacksoni

chicagooverrated 65 Report post Posted June 14, 2015 Your hate of chicago is pathetic Why because it's true? Michael Leighton..... I don't need to say anything Tuuka Rask- backup till Thomas quit Bishop- good goalie, but he was a backup for the most part While Mrazek was a backup it's not like he's been a backup forever, he's what, 22? And besides we all know he's better than Jimmy
Helmethead 235 Report post Posted June 14, 2015 Its true because you say it is? Great logic. Lol I get that you're jealous of the Hawks. But it's ridiculous how you can attribute their success to luck and facing so called backup goalies. Bias can paint an ugly picture sometimes.
