No. He's been scratched a few times for conduct issues. Lalonde has inferred it.

I know he was scratched once for "conduct issues". Speculation was that he was late for a meeting. Happens all the time. Walman was scratched for the same thing last year and now he's on our top pair. The Wings traded for Kostin and then signed him to a multi year deal. They pretty clearly like his game.

"Klim Kostin has been in and out of Detroit’s lineup. A lot of people who think the Oilers miss Kostin’s physicality and swagger and are angry he was not retained. However, this most recent time in the Detroit press box was not injury related but a “team standards issue”. Here is where I tell you that Kostin had similar challenges in Edmonton."

Exactly, he had the same issues and SY traded for and extended him. Plus, we are currently paying Kailer Yamamoto half a million dollars a year not to play for us specifically because we wanted Kostin. I doubt they're dissatisfied.

He's also not been "in and out" of the lineup. He's played 18 of 22 games.

Kostin for Draisaitl. One for one. Make it happen, Steve.

He missed ONE game for a non-game related disciplinary issue. Prob late for something. For comparison, Walman also face similar punishment last year for the same type of thing.

I feel like that's the comfiest win we've had against the hawks in ages.

That game could have been 12-1. Happy to see Lyon turn in another strong performance. If our goaltending can stay steady while our defense comes around we're going to be a problem for teams in the division.

Incidentally, I'm glad to see the bolts choked tonight.

I know, I said as much earlier. Our pal up here is trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill vis-a-vis Kostin and his "challenges". I'd have to think management is happy with his play overall and see no reason why they'd be in a rush to move on from him. Particularly when he's still under contract for another year.

Your statement based on your source is literally schizoid lol

"Kostin's days in Detroit may be numbered if the rumors are true."

When real hockey starts (playoffs) Kostin will be invaluable.    Same reason the Loafs needed to get tougher with their offseason signings.

Kostin will punish Matthew Tkachuk.

Because the article was discussing trading him back to Edmonton. That would number his days left in Detroit, would it not? Did you even read the article?
