Hawks are looking good. It's not so much thinking about the record streak, it's when you ask yourself who the hell is gonna take these guys down in a 7 game series at this point?? if LA plays like they did last year in the playoffs, that would probably be a WCF and a damn entertaining one. St. Louis was my early pick, but injuries and inconsistent play and goaltending knocked them off that mantle.

Clearly you don't know what the word "similier" means. Also Roy was known for wering oversized pads-same as JS, and the reduction in the size happened after him. Now if you want to talk about great goalies in a high scoring era, that would be Fuhr. he was awesome and I don't know if he ever had a GAA under 3 back in the 80's. back when guys would average 2 points per game. More scoring and more fights=better hockey!
I googled similier and it's actually not a word.
The only goalie in the past 20 years that hasn't used stupid huge pads is Brodeur. He is the best goalie ever to play the game and he doesn't cheat and he doesn't get rattled. Howard has been af****** superstar the past 5 games that's for sure. Problem is that aside from the game in Vancouver, we can't seem to get the bounces to top 2 friggen goals.

He's worth it if we don't have a chance at any of the UFAs, If we do let him walk and try and give that 4.5mil + to guys like Perry, Semin, Horton, Smid, Lubo, or hell even Iginla.
In a perfect world I'd rather see KH keep Filp and buy out/trade Franzen in order to make spaces for any UFAs, but we all know that isn't going to happen.
I'm in the boat too that Franzen would be better to trade than Flip. Give Flip 3.8-4 mil per for a few years and then assess him again then. He is a really good 2-way player who hustles and his only real knock is that he needs to shoot more...way more. Franzen on the other hand, while he had a good stretch of games this year, he's back to his lazy self. He stopped hitting, he's taking weak ass shots and he doesn't hustle in the least. I say try and trade Franzen to Calgary for a 1st round pick if they'll give it up. I don't care if we get anything else other than a 1st cause that would give us a good shot at getting a pick close enough to get Ryan Pulock and it'll free up a roster spot to keep Tatar and maybe bring up Nyquist, both of which also hustle and don't piss off the general population of LGW. So as far as i'm concerned, that would be win-win.

No. Abby is doing his job in front of the net. It is/was franzen that sucks. No effort once again. As the anoouncers pointed out. If he is still hurt, htne put him on the IR. if he is healthy then he needs to play hard, or he should sit in the press box. He is doing nothing for this team.
Neither are really. We shouldn't have a guy with 1 point in 20 games on the PP, and Franzen should have to earn his ice time. I'd like to see Franzen off there too and have Eaves-Andersson to replace Abs-Mule. That would send a clear message about earning your ice time.

No way dude. He'll put Flip on the 4th line when he's healthy so we have 1 offensive guy on each of the 2nd, 3rd and 4th lines.

Yup. Tootoo is 5 foot 8 as well. He's the other smallest guy on the ice. And now the announcers are crying for SJ again.

no kidding. the amount that Babcock changes the lines up on a regular basis it's absurd that he's keeping the worst line together that is doing absolutely nothing. Dats' points are going to s*** on that line. what a waste.
