Sean Avery! How dare you publicly humiliate Elisha Cuthbert like that! For the record I'll gladly have sloppy seconds, tipsy thirds, freaky fourths, fabulous fifths and sensational sixths with her! I'd have to put her through a car wash because well...she's been with Avery. But I would still hit that any day of the week!

I'm glad I have CBC. Jim Hughson makes the game that much better.

Crosby for sure for obvious reasons. Also i feel he would be the only one I could honestly take in a fight

Sidney Crosby. For no particular reason other than he looks like he deserves one.

I love how he always goes to Gord Miller something like: "Hey, Gord, remember when we were in Aajadkjakijjakkak, Iceland in 1997 for the under-13 European C Championships and this guy Marek Liechtenstein from Lithuania was EVERYwhere on the ice? He's really blossomed under the great coaching staff here and credit to (some random 80 year old front office guy) for hiring the right guys to draft him." And Gord is like mumbling to himself, "No, Pierre. Nobody on earth remembers that."

http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/news?slug=ap-playoffs-ratings I've always thought the NHL should stay with Versus. Looks like I'm right.

Where's all this "disappears in the playoffs" nonsense coming from. Hudler has 28 points in 51 playoff games which equates to .55 points per game. In the regular season Hudler has 127 points in 255 games which is .50 points per game. How is that disappearing?

    The Sens are terrible.

Supposed to be Spezza and/or Fisher. Spezza is lazy and still thinks the best way to defend Crosby is by not moving his feet, and after a red hot start to the season, Fisher's game has imploded after not making Team Canada and getting engaged to Carrie Underwood. No more motivation I guess 2 words: eastern conference

    The Sens are terrible.

Pens again get the easy road in the playoffs. Sens were the worst team in my opinion and now looks like the Pens will get Boston while Philly will beat up on Washington, thus making it easier for a well rested Pens to beat the Caps again in the Conference Final. Just two cents, although nothing was easier then playing Carolina in Conference last year. They were so well rested when starting in the Final last year. I wish we were in the East, easy travel time, easier teams, easy road to the Final.

I'm all for taking a North American over a shady country jumping Euro, but there's no debating between Huddles and Armstrong.

I should go put on my Miller jersey. "What's wrong with the goaltenders we got? They save pretty good! What are some of them other goaltenders out there?" "Milluh?"

They bash the NHL every chance they get. They always try to diminish it. It's not a matter of not covering it because they don't broadcast games, they literally tear it apart when they do discuss it.

Crosby, only because he spit on his hand after the gold medal game. That alone deserves a slap in the face, so why not just make it a punch.

Wow. A pair of 30 point scorers. But of course they're real North American boys and not threatening Europeans like Hudler so they'd definitely be better choices for our top6. I'd also like to see some answers to this question. We don't really need two-way players any more, so all that pretty much matters is offense. Hudler has already put up 57 points and has potential for easily put +60 next year and +70 in the future.Who can we get with 2.75 or less who puts up points like that? Tell me please anti-hudler guys.

Wonderful news! Health and happiness to you all. Now you either have to grow out the beard or have a baby every round of the playoffs.

NHL playoffs TV ratings up 21 percent

I'd be willing to bet those numbers would be even higher if the NHL was on ESPN.

    Lidstrom

Orr being the best of all time is questionable, and here's why: Orr put up huge offensive numbers, yes. But he was not dominant defensively like Lidstrom is. He was good defensively, but not dominant. He played, to basically say it, like a star offensive forward who was good defensively. Very few defensemen have EVER been able to put up the kind of offensive performances Orr did, and none of them were as consistently dominant offensively, nor as good defensively. However, Lidstrom has been extremely dominant offensively in his own right, while being one of if not the League's best defensive player over his entire career. Other defensemen who could make a valid argument towards that position are Raymond Bourque and Doug Harvey. Bourque was a First-team or Second-Team All-Star for seventeen consecutive years from the start of his career. That's an unbelievable achievement. He was incredible offensively, and was very good defensively. Harvey was the dominant defenseman of his era as well, and was also extremely good at both ends. I would have included Brad Park, but he always ended up second to Orr, so it would be hard to argue him as the best ahead of Orr. But ultimately, we all know it that it really comes down to Orr or Lidstrom. Orr has a lot of flashy, memorable offensive plays such as the 'Superman' goal where he scores and then basically jumps into the air as he is tripped, but how many times did anyone here see him make amazing defensive plays like we have seen Lidstrom do over and over and over again? Not terribly often. Good defensively, not great.
