The shame of it is that we had a habit of spotting the opposition a couple early goals even before the injury tsunami occurred. This almost just feels like business as usual, just with different players.

Our forwards are out, not our defensmen. Plus, I'd expect them to compete. You don't get a pass for having injuries when you've played decent hockey the past few games. Regardless, the Wings are 7-2-2 in their last 11, so it's not like they can't win with SEVEN players out.

as has been said, Stan Lee created basically the entire universe. But it was the people after him who expanded on these characters and made them make sense. He's been riding the coattails of his creations for years and now comes across as a incoherent old codger. If the nhl wanted this done right (and it never needed to be done at all,...) they should have got a guy like geoff johns (who wouldn't touch this with a ten foot poll)

Doc, he's a fourth liner because he's a small player who's only an average skater, haven't you learned how the haters think? Doesn't matter if he scores 1 points or 100 points. Sure, he hasn't played up to his skill this year offensively, but he has been decent defensively (and gotten NO CREDIT) and has worked harder and been much more present in the corners and in front of the net than the haters give him credit for. When I see Hudler as the first Wing, or at least Wing forward, on the backcheck, that tells me he's working hard on defense and in general. And I've seen it quite a few times. Hudler is one of the slowest forwards on the team, yet has managed to be one of if not the first player back on the backcheck as often as anyone he plays with. But people ignore that, and instead simply say "Hudler is a slacker, he sucks, he'll never work hard or play defense" just because the points aren't coming his way. If Hudler was on a 20-game scoring streak with 35-40 points in that span right now, you wouldn't hear a peep about him sucking.

I've said it before and I'll say it again....Retaliation by another teammate immediately following a clean hockey hit should be a two-minute delay of game penalty. I'm sick of this BS stop of play just because someone's ego gets hurt.
