    St. Louis Blues slogan

Well then you guys would just be like the Hawks fans that chant "Detroit Sucks!" in games when they don't even play Detroit; or even at their own championship parade when they didn't even face Detroit in the playoffs. Plus... Isn't "Some were born to sing the blues" supposed to be an indication that unlike the people who sometimes win and sometimes lose that some were born to just plain suck and lose all the time?

It should just have his own face in it, grinning like in that picture. Would confuse the opposing team.

    Wings Preview on HockeyBuzz

It's not "Wing's"; it's Wings. An apostrophe implies possession or a contraction, neither of which is in play here. The 's' in 'Wings' implies a plural--in this case, multiple Red Wings. I really hate to do this to you, but I feel obligated. I figured you'd wish to know it anyway.

But Doc....it was Crosby...It was the dirtiest hit I have seen in like like forever.

Just another pointless post in a pointless thread, if you ask me. How exactly does the opinion of some idiot at HockeyBuzz of all places have any importance whatsoever? I realize it's the off-season and that we're not going to get any interesting news for at least a few more weeks, but why not post something from a blog that isn't a complete joke?

This is a thread JUST for fun... since we're all chomping at the bit for pre-season to begin and start watching some real hockey, I figured I'd start a thread for some laughs - Put what "held you back" from making it to the NHL - I'll start it off. I could have made it to the NHL if... My knees had held up, I came from money AND I were 5 inches taller and, go...

I could have made it to the NHL!

I'll assume that was a compliment. I'm playing for Lawrence Tech's varsity team.

If I had the talent, started at an earlier age, and had some hands. College hockey is about as far as I can hope to attain.

Crosby's 2012 Season now in Question

It's actually a natural progression when you think about it. Injuries have been rampant lately that weren't prevalent pre-instigator rule.

How did the instigator rule get brought up in a thread about a player who was injured on pretty random plays? Steckel didn't see Crosby, and Hedman bumped him on the boards.

Who will get the final bobblehead?

Honestly...why would anyone be offended by something that is posted by another anonymous person on an internet forum? Anyone who is needs to get a life, asap. Say what you gotta say, don't worry about prefacing it with things like "not to offend". Some people live such sad pathetic lives that they just look for things to be "offended" by. I say, f*** em...

    St. Louis Blues slogan

Hmm... should have used "I Guess That's Why They Call It the Blues". Change the words a little... I guess that's why they call us the Blues. Time and again, we do nothing but lose. Diving like chickens, lose to the others, Whine to officials like they're our mothers, And I guess that's why they call us the Blues. Or something. That was just off the top of my head and it really wasn't very good.

Hockey was actually safer when it was more violent in the 80's and nineties. Line clearing brawls may look worse than a blindside hit 2 the head, but there not, ide rather see stuff like that as retribution for a team or individuals action then a dirty blindside, or from behind hits to the head. the problem now is players dont have to pay the price ON THE ICE, if they make a dirty play. Oh a fine and sitting a couple games and a fine will teach them! right? Not really, these guys have deep pockets and its a long season. on the other hand if the guy gets his ass beat everytime he steps on the ice, cuz he is dirty (matt cooke) hes not gunna last long in the league. And im not talking about a north south hits 2 the head, thats the player with the pucks fault should have had his head up. If they dis allow those hits to the head, a guy can just skate around the ice with his head down in order to protect himself from being touched. yes i know it was a bit off topic,

    Your Favorite Wings Lines Ever

All great choices. Maybe not my all-time favorite, but as a blast from the past, I'd say Gallant, Yzerman and Probert. Man they were a fun line to watch.
