Not as close as the silly standings indicate with all of those loser points. The Hawks have given up 130 goals against. That is more than every team in the West but Columbus and Anaheim. The Wings have a ROW of 26 compared to Chicago's 22 and we have a game in hand. AND Chicago has played 4 less road games. Today, they were given a gift goal by Howard and had one go in off of Lidstrom's skate. They really aren't that good of a team. I think that the Hawks will drop in the standings with that 9 game road trip that they have coming up.

I think he'd need some teeth in order to accomplish that.

Edit: Oh I get it. Lidström is holding the stick with a raised hand and he is just outside the picture. You can see part of his hand in the top left corner. A strange perspective got me confused.

What a win. Another ROW win for us, and two in a row against little brother. Somebody needs to make a sound bite of Olczyk saying 'It was only a matter of time with the Red Wings dominating." We may very well never hear that again from that man.

It's really not fair to blame that goal on Howard. That said, the Hawks are just about to enter a period of brutal schedule such as the Wings had in December. It won't be fun for them.

Some things I noticed during the game, I like the on ice mikes turned up so you can't hear the NBC fools very well, and Dumzo's complaints of Detroit having too many men all the time. I think he counts 5 wings and realizes the Wings should only have four because of league mandated penalties

With Howard only 27 and Petr Mrazek becoming one of the better goalie prospects out there, I dont think theres a need to take Malcolm Subban

I can't say it enough...he's a miracle to behold. I can't wait to see him again come Valentine's Day!

I mean, seriously guys, are we taking our under-sized, under-weight, aenemic, bow-legged, pidgeon-toed superfreak for granted these days? Played with one winger the entire game and was still the best player on the ice.

Great win and Datsyuk is just out of this world beautiful... I hope the lucky point Chicago picked up tonight doesn't come back to haunt us.

First game I ever went to was a Hawk vs Wing game. We lived in Chicago at the time and my Dad said, " the team in the Red and White is the team we are rooting for. See that 19, he's our boy. See that 91, he is magic. " I was 10 years old at the time. My Dads funeral is today so I will be missing the game, but I hope my Dad is on Gods good side and we come out with a regulation win. That's what he'd want. Go Wings!!!!!!!!
