A lot of folks are still using conference standings as a way to gauge performance, unfortunately with the redesign of the divisions and playoff wild card criteria conference standings are now completely meaningless. Remember it is first 3 teams per division that make it plus 2 wild cards. Although the Wings are 5th in the conference, we are actually in 7th place because of the wild card. The Rangers are 5 points behind us with a game in hand... The only website that is doing a real good job of showing the wild card standings is NHL.com, : http://www.nhl.com/ice/standings.htm?season=20132014&type=WC Just wanted to bring this to everyones attention if you were not already aware of this.

There are fights and enforcers in hockey? Who knew. I hate these lists and the fact the Wings are never on it. Before the 04 lockout it used to be dominated by badass Wings. Such an entertaining part of the game that we lack, creating rivalries and energy, that has left us with a team that has to win to be good to watch. Sad.

Some good fights in there, but nothing special. Nowadays, I feel like I need to watch classic youtube fight videos to see a great fight between heavyweight enforcers. Also, I wonder if the Wings even had 10 fights this calendar year.

I like Robert Lang. He was kind of a misfit here. He did well before he got here, but just didn't fit here. At least he gave the Hobbit a hold to grow up in.

It's cool that we might still get the real Stephen Weiss. Though probably not this season.
