Funny how kenny is willing to retain salary to trade mrazek snd yet a couple seasons ago when howard was awful holland refused to retain salary to trade him. I hate how bias the red wings managament has been with howard.

I think after losing 6 games it could warrent starting our 2nd goalie for once, maybe change things up? I get howard has played good this year but mrazek hasnt been bad in most of his starts and blashill plays him once every 3 weeks. 

I am a huge mrazek supporter and im not surprised. But if mrazek comes back to his potential then they will end up splitting games in which case i see them sticking with mrazek if they were to make playoffs. Its not long ago mrazek was named starter and look how fast that changed. 

Preds were controlling the game until officials took over. The goal being overturned was ridiculous. Theres no way they had a clear enough angle to determine to change their call. The offside review is so inconsistent that there is no point in having it. Either have it be reviewed by one guy in toronto or no review at all. We cant continue to have all these different people making judgements becasue they all have different views, which is a huge problem.
On top of that, when is there ever 2 guys who get a penalty in the same shift to make it a 5 on 3 in the finals? And the cherry on top was crosby getting away with such obvious interference right before their first goal. Just disgraceful. I stopped watching. With any luck i check the score later to see a comeback.

I would totally move ovie this summer. He was absolutely invisible tonight. What a poor effort their team showed in that 3rd period. This group of players will never win a cup for the caps because ovie cant get it done. I would trade him now and get a good return

Sadly i think his window to win a cup in ny has closed but i could see him going somewhere like dom did to try to win a cup at some point. He is still a very good goalie. I mean he just out dueled price. AV lost this series in part like how blashill would have...playing the wrong players at the wrong time. In game 2 in the dying minute he had marc stall on the ice and he messes up and the sens tie the game. Game 5, same thing. Kind of reminds me of blashill coaching. Which is odd because AV is usually very good and i like him but he was no doubt out coached in this series.

Its a joke the stuff weber gets away with. 20 seconds to go in a game or not, if there is a clear penalty then the refs need to call it. That cross check non call led to montreal being able to tie the game. Just ridiculous. I really hope the rangers get the W in ot.

This team from top down flat out sucks. Its been going downhill ever since lidstrom left and management just cant accept it. Tonight is no different. They look unprepared and unmotovated. 

Thats one of the better games ive seen a goalie play while still not having a great game. I mean he made over 40 saves so he obviously played good and for a while kept us in the game. But man does his rebound control need a lot of work. And he should have stopped that ot goal.
At the end of the day we lose largely because of coaching. Why is sheahan playing in ot? What th frick is with dekeyser playing? He flat out sucks offensively. Id legit think ericsson is better offensively. A good coach would know what players to put out.

Ozzie always says dumb things lol. The guy defends ericsson for crying out loud.

Im not blaming coreau but he does need to work on his rebounds. Our defense is terrible though. If only kenny would get off his rear end and make a trade.

Typical blasill start to a game. Uninspired, bad giveaways, losing every battle, no shots. If only we had a decent coach.
 
Love how AA gets our goal... The guy blashill the idiot barely plays for no reason. He will probably be benched for that.

To play devils advocate, I believe Howard lost the job or was injured before the end of 2014/15.
Then he was terrible last year. Howard was great this year until he got injured. 
So saying he is inconsistent, and when playing well generally gets injured is a pretty fair statement regarding Howard. This is coming from a Howard fan.

If the Bruins fire Claude Julian then I say we fire Blashill and hire Julian. He is far better coach than Blashill.

What an amazing comeback, led by Captain Zetty. He was working his tail off, making hits, being strong on the puck, excellent backchecking. He motivated this team to victory, just awesome to see. 
Ericsson NEEDS to sit as soon as Smith or Kronner is ready. Ericsson tipped another goal passed Petr tonight. I bet he has scored like 10 goals this year on our own net. Then we tie the game 5-5, blashill naturally puts ericsson and glendening onto the ice, ericsson loses an easy battle, gives the puck away and krug almost scores right away again. Ericsson is just sooooo bad. 
IF this incompetent coaching staff could get the defense figured out, then things could be looking better for us in the 2nd half. Our offense looks like it is working a lot better now, and Mrazek has looked very good his last few starts tracking the puck and battling to make some big saves. So if the defense can stop with the giveaways and if the team can actually come out prepared to play in the 1st 10 minutes, then things could get better. Lots of ifs.

I have never seen a team literally deflect pucks past its goalie almost every game. Maybe once every 10 games or so. But its consistent with our team which tells me there is a problem with their system. The coaches need to do a better job of getting in the shooting lane or as lunquivst has always said, get out of the way.
