well i think teams have learned that roy williams will self distruct and KJ is the real person to watch out for when the Lions have the ball. Perfect example is the holding penalty that i believe it was grant winstrom took when he saw KJ trying to slip outside of the backfield on a passing play. They respect KJ more than Roy Williams or any starting QB that the lions have had lately. I dont blame them either.

17-0

I feel sorry for every person who thinks every year that the Lions will be a "better team". It just keeps getting worse, maybe one day when Ford cant afford the team he'll sell it and get someone who knows what they're doing, or maybe they'll move the Lions somewhere else and get us a new Franchise.

I really liked the part where they fumbled the ball twice in the first five minutes of the game. Somewhere on the field, there's a guy recording this for his middle school team as a "what not to do" video...

I guess I overestimated the Lions when I was thinking FG with a first down at the Bears 12 yard line.

Well, Marinelli earns my respect for s***canning overpaid underachievers like Charles Rogers and Mike Williams

The whole team is a giant group of overpaid underachievers. The only player that looks like he's worth anything is Sims- Calhoun didn't look bad in past weeks either. Kevin Jones is overrated, Joey was bad but was not the problem, Kitna is getting sacked more often than he is throwing the ball downfield, and the defensive line is soft. The Rogers/M. Williams thing isn't soley about their play- you find out what players are made of in games, not practice- games which neither have gotten a chance to play in. It doesn't matter who Detroit's coach is, it won't make a difference- Marinelli hasn't done anything but fill the players with a false sense of cockiness and make them act like they're better than they are. The whole "Moral victories aren't good enough" spiel that all of the Lions were repeating after week 1 really made me laugh- this team isn't going to be seeing many real victories, so they should take the moral ones as they come; today after the game R. Williams was still running his mouth about how Detroit could have beat them- these guys are delusional. We've seen teams like CIN and CHI, who WERE worse than DET pass them up and become good teams- meanwhile we're still sitting here looking stupid- with this organization, this cycle will never end.

The only player who's worth anything is Shaun Rogers, Ernie Sims hasn't done anything yet.

Just wow. Don't know if the Bears are that good or if the Lions are that bad. Grossman lit Detroit up too. It isnt too late for Marinelli to start turning it around, but they need to do it quick

Haha, isn't too late, dude no one can turn around the Lions as long as the Fords are the owners.

Fire Marinelli ;)

This was a horrific display. In spurts, watching the O makes you think theres something there. Then they just blow it and dont score. The defense got eaten alive, the good thing for Grossman is he doesnt even have to wash his jersey for next week's game.

I feel very confident in saying, well make that pretty confident...nah kinda confident, ...err, im leaning towards the Lions beating the Pack the next week!

Normally by this time of the year, I have long buried the tigers and pray for something to keep me occupied until the wings play. I did something very strange this past sunday. I watched the tigers game over the lions. I can honestly say that I dont think that has ever happened to me before. I missed the whole lions-bears game....and it feels really good. Everyone should try it sometime.

I like Marenelli. Got to remember that he got handed one the worst teams in NFL. But I really thought this team would be scoring points at will. They show the potnetial. I hope there still learning and thats why they haven't put it all toghether yet.

Um, potential? Our top receiver is some guy who washed up on shore from St. Louis. We don't even have a legit #1 WR. This is a sad, sad place right now in terms of offense.

No kidding, I have a growing hatred for Roy Williams.
