Well my boys officially suck this year. You can't lead the league in turnovers and be competitive. I'd love to see them tank and get a top 5 pick but that's now how they do things in Pittsburgh. They'll still win a few ball games and be around top 12 in the draft.

After watching the Lions yesterday I was thinking how good Leinart would look with Martz's play calling. If he can make Kitna look good think what he could have done with Leinart. DIE MILEN!!

I'd rather have Sims. Leinart would have ended up just like Harrington. And Batch. And Ware. And Peete. And Long. And every other miserable, mediocre QB the Lions have ever drafted with high hopes of having a franchise QB, only to ruin yet another college star. The Lions are a highly heralded rookie QB's worst nightmare. From now on I don't want to ever draft a QB above the fourth (maybe third) round again. All the fantastic golden boys, Heisman winners, pretty faces, the Lions have had at QB, and Scott Mitchell holds all our passing records. What I wouldn't give to see #19 back under center. He was huge, left-handed, and showed up at the Lions Halloween party dressed up as the Big Buck. What more do you need? And yes, the best we've had since Bobby Layne. Kitna's decent so far. Tough as they come. He's the kind of QB that good teams are always trying to get rid of and bad teams are always willing to ****** up. But he's not as cool as Mitchell.

Here we go again. Ive somehow managed to psyche myself up into thinking this team will be 5-6 heading into New England and right on the brink of the wildcard mix. My confidence is very high again for today...ugh im setting myself up! If they drop this game to SF i'll be even more sick than the GB loss.

I've finally figured out the Lions, and it's so simple I don't know why I never realized it before. They always fall short of expectations. That's all there is to it. But the key is they always fall just short. We expect that this is the year they win a playoff game? They make it but blow it in the first round again. We expect them to make a significant improvement over that 2-14 season? Oh, they improve alright....to 3-13. Think of the expectations for every season, and think of how they performed. Always juuuuust shy, no matter how high or low the expectations.

The only thing is that occasionally, usually only in single games, and only when expectations get low enough, they blow the expectations so far out of the water that we have no choice to once again raise them high enough for them to miss again. Like the Atlanta game last week. With the D-line decimated, and Vick playing out of his mind, and the embarassment of last Thanksgiving, the Lions were supposed to get steamrolled. Instead they dominated. Now people are looking at them as a team that might just make noise in the second half, maybe a few upsets to throw the playoff picture out of whack. Which of course they won't do. So I hereby expect them to win out, go 10-6 and snag a wild card. Maybe that'll cause them to only go 9-7.

So Brian Calhoun goes on the IR (WTF is up with all the injuries???) and who do the Lions sign to fill his roster spot? Friggin' Aveion Cason. Because he was frickin' awesome the first time around. I know that when you lose a player to the IR at this time of year, you are kind of picking up the scraps. But please can we at least pick up different scraps? We already know Cason sucks. I swear Aaron Gibson is on the comeback trail, it's only a matter of time, and I'm thinkin' maybe Bill Schroeder while we're at it. Lions receivers haven't dropped enough passes recently, so we'll need Schroeder to catch us up in that category, and maybe when the next O-lineman goes down, we can drag the Flinchmaster out of retirement....that's right, none other than Larry Tharpe himself. I miss hearing "False start - offense, #71" every other snap.

Aveion Cason...LMAO! I couldve sworn i heard his name mentioned on a special teams play last game...but i just passed it off as the typical announcer error. I guess maybe that really was him!

Wheres the almighty Trung Canidate when you need him...is he still in the league? Call him up Martz! ;)

I hear were bringing back Sedrick Irvin, with his side kick RB Hill

I knew I was going to have another bad day when I turned the assholes game on. Losers threw a pick in the redzone after special teams blocked a punt. And against the Cardinals, too. What ******* losers, god.

you still watch this team?? I have given up on them. I am "Lions fan on strike". :D

I was thinking we should just let the NFL move the Lions to L.A. Then we start from scratch with an expansion team with a new name, new colors, new owners, and NO MILLEN!

not a bad idea.

Is it too early to talk about the 2007 NFL Draft. Anyone think that Brady Quinn would like nice as a Lions QB.
