Sting 11 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2007 If he starts next year the Bears are a joke. Start Griese, Orton, or go sign Jeff Garcia Orton's my pick (yes, I'm biased being a Purdue grad). He followed Brees and the offense never missed a beat. Orton set school records and was considered a Heisman favorite as a senior until a fateful hit vs. Wisconsin ruined his (and the Boilers) season. Orton has the potential to be great and is wasting away as a third stringer in Chicago.
Heroes of Hockeytown 694 Report post Posted February 7, 2007 Monday, Rush Lardass claimed that Rex Grossman is being scapegoated for losing the game because he's white. It wasn't the two fumbled snaps, the two 11-yard sacks and the two interceptions (including a pick-six). Limbaugh was s***canned by ESPN for being a racist, paranoid retard (Tom Jackson belongs in the Hall of Fame for getting that white supremacist pervert and dope addict fired). That's a hilarious shirt, by the way.

That's a hilarious shirt, by the way. Without turning this into something that needs to be moved to PD.....I didn't hear what Rush said about Grossman, so I dunno. But the McNabb comments were dead on. Sorry, but they were. All Rush said is that McNabb gets more attention because he's black. How is that not a true statement? The hypocrite media destroyed Rush for that, ("no, nobody gets more attention just because they're black, McNabb gets recognition for his talent, we're in a day and age where race is irrelevant to how the players play, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc.!!!") Then Tony Dungy and Lovie Smith went to the Super Bowl. So much for people not getting attention just because of their race
Sting 11 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2007 Having listened to Rush in the past, I'm almost certain his Grossman comments were a tongue-in-cheek jab at those who went off over his McNabb comments. That's often Rush's style. Then the media gets a hold of the transcript and just sees the words and doesn't realize he's being facetious. I just wish we could drop the race crap. Honestly, I don't pay a bit of attention to race until people start making a big deal about it. Let's make that it on this subject, lest this thread get completely derailed into PD'ville. Hiei 192 Report post Posted February 7, 2007 After watching this game 5 times (and subsequently destroying the DVD of it) All I have to say for my Bears is this. 1. Lack of Heart 2. Lack of Discipline 3. No ferociously aggressive defensive plays. Almost every play you saw missed tackles, no, not because of the rain, because guys were getting close and then they stopped for some odd reason. Also, after that runback by Hester (the only other guy who showed up to play besides Gould and Maynard, in my opinion), the Bears got too hotheaded on that. They looked fairly good on that touchdown drive, capped off by Average Rex throwing a short TD pass to MOOOOOOOOOOSE!!!! The Bears offense didn't change a thing throughout the game, and Indy adapted and exploited that. The Bears Defense was playing deep coverage, no wonder Peyton was only throwing little dinkpasses. His SB Stats don't reflect the after-catch work done by his recievers. In those instants, the Bears D and Colts D swapped places. Where our D missed, theirs capitalized. And our guys put their heads down and sulked. Average Rex, was turned into Bad Rex by the Indy D. The only part of the game WE won was Special Teams. (scored the opening kickoff, perfect on FG, didn't give up a TD) Special Teams does not win a 60 Minute football game. Toward the end (when we still had a chance) we started taking stupid penalties, and took ourselves out. Congratulations, Indianapolis Colts. But, Regardless, Win or Lose, I will always and Forever More be a Chicago Bears Fan!!!! P.S. I was pissed for 2 days after the superbowl. Know why? I was born in 1988. I don't know who the 1985 Bears were. And that's something I can never find out, nor fall back on if we lose. I have only to fall back on Dave Wannstedt, D!ck Jauron, and those non-playoff, sub-.500, lose to the Packers teams...
