Tucker can't go anywhere until he is off IR, and that's at least 2-3 weeks away. It'll be hit or miss if he's even healthy enough to be traded by the deadline.

That said, there's going to be 8-10 teams going after Tucker, so his asking price should be steep.

The Red Wings will be linked to every big name and rumor out there, they have money to spend and they're on the hunt for grittier players, players who'll make a splash at the deadline. I'm sure Holland placed a call to Ferguson telling him to keep him in mind should be chose to trade Tucker, Holland's had that phone call with a lot of Gms, it's the prudent thing to do

I'm ok with Tucker as a Wing. Don't really know if it'd happen or not, but why not. The Wings could use someone with grit who can also score.

I think so too. With all the cheapshots and their, at times, lack of fire, they need guys that can win the physical battles along the boards, something they haven't done in forever. A guy like Tucker would really light a fire under this team.

I think Holland will focus on adding some scoring power, historically that's where his priorities are. I can see Modin becoming Holland's "grit and size" acquisition of the year. Which again would be pathetic.

Make that Eager and Tkachuk! Or if Holland can only make one call, make it Eager and Sanderson. Forsberg is such a risky move.

Yes, if the Wings can get a guy like Tucker im sure it would start a ripple affect with this team, a guy with Tuckers energy always gets the crowd going with his hits and the rest of the team feed off the reaction from the crowd and follow suit, maybe this is what guys like Maltby need.

His asking price, not just in a trade, but as an UFA might be a little steep, but I woul dlove to have him int he playoffs. He is just an intense competator.

Yes Eager and Tkachuk would do nicely. Forsberg is risky and he is definately not my first choice, but going by the recent articles, if Forsberg plays the whole of February injury free, then it isn't totally out of the question that he will be a Wing by the deadline.

I can seriously see that happening, in fact, if i had to set odds on what player the Wings are most likely to acquire...Modin might be at the top. Just seems like classic Holland.
