Hossa plays with Kozlov, I think rucchin centers Kovalchuk and Metropolit for the Hossa Kozlov line. Not sure about the centers though. right now theyre the best line in hockey centered by the best player in hockey (hank). But throughout the whole year or past years id say that Spezza and Heatley are pretty good together.

Come on now think about it. I do agree however The Dats, Homer, and Hank's line is one of the best in the league right now. Not trying to be a hater or anything I just call it like I see it. Here's what they were last time I saw. Kozlov-Metropolit-Hossa (don't know who centers them now, but Hossa plays with Kozlov) Malone-Crosby-Recchi Ovechkin-Zubrus-Clark Vanek-Briere-Pominville (but this was while Hecht was out... he's usually the LW on that line) Kariya-Legwand-Erat Not sure. Renney's been screwing with things over there. Clowe-Thornton-Cheechoo New Jersey has offense? Heatley-Spezza-Eaves Edited February 15, 2007 by datsyukonethree

Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted February 15, 2007 dude he sure looks like it don't discount zetterberg just because his name doesn't read crosby or ovechkin on the back of his sweater. the guy is playing just as good. call me crazy but i think he's more of a playmaker than ovechkin and i don't think all those lines are accurate. i know pittsburgh the vast majority of the time has crosby adn recchi paired up. and buffalo has afinogenov, roy and vanek on the third line like they did at the beginning. Well , if we were going by first and second halfs , hes the best player in the nhl. No one is having a better second half , and he defnately is a better playmaker then ovechkin , Just look at that dallas game , unbealiaveable
Andy Pred 48 337 Report post Posted February 15, 2007 Ok guys I got the lines off the FOXSPORT depth chart page, so maybe they aren't right. All I was saying is how do you compare our current 1st line to those, not lets pick a fecking hole in the lines stated by the thread starter!! If it was me picking the lines I'd have Sid with Malk and Stall for the Pens and Alex with Semin and Zuburus for the Caps but I just put down what was stated by a so called top US sports network; now can we try again...............? No offense, but you can't just take the lines you give and compare if those other lines are not actual lines. You suggest if it was you, you'd have Crosby, Malkin and Staal as the line for the Pens, but that has never happened. In fact, I am not sure Staal has even been on the ice at the same time as Crosby (other than the odd time due to broken line changes).
Mighty Wings 0 Report post Posted February 15, 2007 (edited) This has been the best line since the All-star break. Zetterberg leads everyone in scoring since then and, i gotta believe either homer or pavel is in the top 10 of that list as well. What I like about this line is, all 3 of them are very productive together, something that can be said for only a couple of lines in hockey. Guest Crymson Report post Posted February 16, 2007 (edited) Gretzky also thinks he can coach, just saying Uhm ok. Another pessimistic comment. Cool. Gretzky also played pretty well back in the day. Just saying. Crosby could end up with over 100 assists this season. Do you really think Hank is playing THAT well? It's not necessarily the individual players, but more the three of them together. They're on an absurd roll as far as points go. I don't think an announcer exists who wouldn't call them the hottest line in the NHL. I can tell you from seeing them in person that they are DANGEROUS together.. like REALLY DANGEROUS. Edited February 16, 2007 by Crymson

Their trio actually leads the nhl in scoring points since Christmas, with 99. And I watch a lot more than Detroit hackey, and they're one of the best defensively, too. Although they're often out there with Lidstrom. Hank is a great hockey player but I wouldn't go as far as saying is the BEST player in hockey. Come on now think about it. Ok so he's the best non-Russian player.

norrisnick 1 Report post Posted February 16, 2007 Crosby could end up with over 100 assists this season. Do you really think Hank is playing THAT well? Lately? He sure is. Shamelessly stolen from a poster at RWC. If you take Z's points per game since Nov. 2 and translate them to an 82 game season, you get 99 points. His pace since Nov. 24 translates to 107 points over 82 games. His pace since Dec. 20 translates to 125 points over 82 games. His pace since Jan. 11 translates to 154 points over 82 games. Z leads all scorers in the new year with 34 points. Sid is in 2nd with 30.
Heroes of Hockeytown 694 Report post Posted February 16, 2007 Ah, so that's the key. Constantly performing at the top of your game over eighty-two consecutive games, and you'll lead the league in scoring!
norrisnick 1 Report post Posted February 16, 2007 Ah, so that's the key. Constantly performing at the top of your game over eighty-two consecutive games, and you'll lead the league in scoring! Z needs to fine tune his offseason workouts. He skipped speed training for strength/bulk and started slow because of it. Without that first month he's a 100 point player. Can't argue with that.
