Kronwall out 6-8 weeks with broken sacrum

Poor Kronner. Ow ow ow ow ow!!! I wonder if that kid will ever get through a season without something breaking? How many times have you seen guys get hit that hard and skate away? Plenty. Not our Nik Jr.

As for Nick "Sr." - he will not be playing tomorrow vs. CBJ. If the WIngs don't show up for 60 minutes, whoever is in goal will get another "L." I am not liking our injured list much. Again.

So...This might just be me having a perverted mind, but when I read the title of this thread I read "Kronwall out 6-8 weeks with broken scrotum" I was like, "Umm...How does that happen?" Then I read it again and read it the right way....

Anyway...

Does this mean Konner won't be playing during the playoffs at all? What rotten luck! And Lids being out...Sheesh! Hopefully it is what most are spectulating: just a little rest before playoffs...

It's almost comical how everyone says "poor Kronner is unlucky". Luck has nothing to do with it. There are reasons why some guys get hurt more than others and some guys don't seem to get hurt at all. For a defensemen, at the nhl level, if you do not learn to protect yourself you won't last long. Especially since forecheckers can attack unimpeded nowadays. Kronwall is a good player, but he hasn't learned to be a very smart player yet. Lebda is the same way. Hopefully, these younger guys can learn before it ends their careers.

Yeah, this is an important point. Brittle or not, the kid has to learn to keep his head up and on a swivel. Especially being a big open ice hitter himself, and without an enforcer backing him up, he's going to take a lot of hits.

I think Babcock should sit the whole team down the last few games and bring up the griffins to finish the season--Ithe level of the teams play shows that either everyone is tired or can't get excited about playing hockey until the playoffs. This leads guys to get injured because they really aren't into the game

Hahahaha!!! I'd approve of the Griffins taking on the Blackhawks. That would be devastating.

I wonder if they'd really beat them....

You ever fall down the stairs and land on your ass and it hurts like hell? That is your sacrum. Man, the poor guy.

Still, I think you guys are missing something here. The D who who is going to step up big for us is Chelios, the Warrior. Trust me, he will take care of us.

Actually that's your coccyx, or tailbone. Your sacrum is just above that.

This is what the sacrum looks like -

This is what it looks like within the pelvis. The pointy thing in the center is your coccyx -

(thank you www.back.com)

And I agree about Chelios...he is a Warrior, with a captial W.

We will be fine. Losing Kronwall does not kill our chances in the playoffs. Now if we lose Lidstrom, we are screwed.

 Anatomy class nightmares!!!

But seriously, that sucks that Kronnic broke his butt. Poor kid. He's going to be in pain for DAYS. I hope he gets better soon. I'm pretty sure we aren't going to see him skating this season.

I hate to say it, but Lilja was probably outplaying Kronner lately. And Kronner on the PK makes me more scared than anyone else...except for maybe Schneider.

As long as we get Lebda back, Ill be satisfied with our defense.

it's getting to the point where the wings simply can't count on this guy. if they go into next season and don't have a plan in place for his inevitable stint on ir, they are fools.

At this point I don't even care if we win anymore games in the regular season. As long as we have as many starters possible healthy in time for and during the play-offs.

i'd much rather play dallas in round 1 than calgary. on the other hand, this 1st-place thing means sooo much to nashville that'd be fun to dick with them yet another year.

Hes not that bad

You've been very pro Lilja since his fight, eh? :P

No matter. He's been playing good lately. I won't take anything away from him. Now that he's got a spot though, I expect him to keep this up, since I know he can do it.

Is this going to be on the exam?

But seriously, nice info...very informative . I'm disappointed Kronwall's out, but at the same time it's not like he was going to be the difference between miserable first-round failure and glorious run to the Cup. I'll save the doomsday talk for when Lidstrom breaks his ass-bone.

A&P was an awesome class!

A little more information, isn;t the Sacrum 5 vert's that fuse around the age 20 or so if I remember and Kronwall is around that age.
