go ahead. You know I am right.

Actually, you're not.

Your moping is ridiculous.A lot of people here are disappointed Dom didn't get the shutout.

But whatever. Nothing is ever enough for you. Either he's not praised enough, or someone makes a legit criticism (like him losing sight of the puck) and it can't possibly be true.

That's a huge chip you've got on your shoulder regarding Dom.

The shutout would've been nice, but I'm guessing he's happy with the W.

Back on topic.

Woohooo! Great game by the Wings!

Seriously, how many CS'ers are in this thread? We could have had a great GDT in the CS Forum.

Regardless, good game...glad to see the guys get their nose dirty early on in the series.

I don't think for one minute what Cleary did was intentional, and the Flames overreacted....just a bit.

Feckin' right, they went at one of our best guys...besides Cleary was sliding on the ice when he hit him...

No, he wasn't. But he wasn't paying attention either. Definitely didn't do it on purpose, but as the announcers said you gotta know where the goalie's at. Besides, they're gonna call it every time, and the Flames are gonna protect their goalie, so that's really that.

I'm just going to be the bigger person and let it go since you are probably just upset that your team is losing

Wrong. I'm upset that they didn't come out to play. Didn't display any heart whatsoever. Made dumb mistakes, took unecessary penatlies, and hung Kipper out to dry. Losing I can take, rolling over like they did was unacceptable.

Wings played great to boot!

Oh, and congrats on being the bigger man. I'll continue to be small and petty. Thanks.

Good good game guys, I wanna see this effort again for game 2. I have a feeling on sunday we will see a bit of a different Calgary team and we need to be ready for em.

1 down, 15 more to go.

GO WINGS!!!

Excellent game by the Wings. I haven't seen that type of game from them in the Playoffs for a while. Zetterberg was great in his first game back. The Flames are sore losers.

absolutely pathetic cheap shots by Iginla and Phanuef on Cheli, but being the CLASSY vet that he is, he allows them to act like knuckleheads and get the penalties....

Haha. Riiiiiiiight...

Anyway, a very solid effort. Babcock and Co. have to be extremely pleased with the way the team played tonight. I thought the scrum at the end was pretty unncessary, especially the overreaction on the part of Brad Stuart. I am salivating at the thought of Bertuzzi being out there in a situation like that, though. Still, the Wings weren't pushed around. If anything, they did the most of the pushing.

One down, fifteen to go. One hell of a way to start.

Dont say you lost respect. Instead you should respect what they are doing. This is how hockey is played. Wings taught them a lesson so they relatiate to show they wont be pushed over. Get real man. This is all they had left that they could do, and they stayed physical and nasty to show that this series isnt over and they arent quitting. I sure wish the wings played that way sometimes.

Anywho GO WINGS 1-0

I understand the Flames being upset about the Cleary hitting their goalie. But they definitely overreacted. Glad to see the team coming to help him out as he was being piled on.... lmao at Markov jumping on that pile.

Why is it when the Flames start losing, they start with the cheap shots and trying to jump guys from behind? And Iginla leads it all, which shouldn't surprise me one bit. I thought I hated Calgary after 2004, but now that I see the cheap shots starting all over again, I realize why I feel that way to begin with.

Calgary came out of that looking like a bunch of whiny *******. No sportsmanship whatsoever. It was pretty clear that Cleary wasn't even looking when he hit their goalie, and then they get all caught up in the "send a message" goonery at the end. Pathetic. Great W by the Wings.

It was a great game. If I bother you so much, don't read what I say. People rant and defend Ozzie with swearing and threats, and that's acceptable? I say what I think and you get bent outta shape. Why?

He's very happy with the W, no doubt... but always wants to be better, so I bet he wants that one goal back anyway.
