And once again, I'm going to say: Osgood should be the starting goalie. He may not make snow angels or anything, but he gets the job done, and this year, he's playing some of his best hockey ever. It looked like he wanted to break out a huge smile, but instead just kept it to himself. Damn is he on FIRE!! And how bout being on the unbeaten streak list now twice since 1989. One for a 20 game unbeaten streak, and now for an 18 game unbeaten streak. He's up there more than any other goalie. I am so damn happy right now. ATTA BOY OZZIE!! Always had faith in you, and always will. Btw, Hank is freaking phenomenal. Same goes for all our boys. They owned tonight. Swept the Western Canada trip, and went 3 & 1 on the West Coast trip. Can you say HOT DAMN? lol EDIT: 3 Stars of the game: 1. Ozzie!! 2. Hank!! 3. Nolan Go, Ozzie... he was stellar tonight! PS - Nolan got 4rd star for 4 SOG, and was a -1. Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted November 2, 2007 WOOOOOO! What a game tonight! It was great to see the Wings win, and Danny scored! Zetterberg played awesome too. Christopher John Osgood is my favorite goalie, I love him, fantastic game tonight. After the game we went to get autographs, We went in there, and were waiting for the Wings to come up, when I spotted FISCHER!!!!!! He was there for Heart and Stroke foundation. Me, my buddy, my dad and my little sister went over and got autographs but had a nice conversation with him. I said it was great to see him and he was a great player, he started saying it was nice to see all the fans here. My Dad asked him if he was gonna play again and he said he's very optomistic and we all said we'd love to have him back. Meech was the first guy up, I got his autograph and we told him good job and keep playing well. Then Drake came up, he wasent in a good mood, but my sister got him to sign her jersey. Then DANNY!!! came up, we went right to him, asked him for autographs said fantastic goal buddy, my sister told him we were from Newfoundland too and he smiled and said it was cool to meet some newfies. Then we were waiting, when this women behind us said "I wonder who that guy over there is" I thought at first it was Maltby, but he turned his head and it was Aaron Downey!! We went over, he signed my little sisters jersey, and we had a good chat with him too. When he was signing my program I said "Nice fights Aaron, keep it up" He said thanks, then my Dad said "It's nice to have you Aaron, your helping our team, keep going out and pounding people" He said As soon as I get back in im going to be giving them all some Shake and Bake, I thought it was funny Then we were waiting again and OZZIE comes up, we rush right over and get his autograph, He, Drake and Meech had family all there so we couldnt talk to them alot. Babcock came up and we got his autograph too. It was a great night, I had alot of fun and it was great talking to Danny, and Fischer and Downey, there all nice guys. And finally before we left, we said bye to Cleary and my dad said "Get a ring on your finger this year Danny" and He said I'll do my best too. GO WINGS GO! Rarely do you see a visiting team get a player selected in the 3 stars on a road game, unless they were a 1-man show out there. Great game tonight by the Wings. I can't believe Osgood is a perfect 7-0-0. Nice to see the donut holes in the losses catagory, and if he keeps this up, could easily dethrone Hasek as the starter. Well, Dom will be back eventually, but maybe or maybe not next Wednsday... wings corner this morning (freep) Dom wants to play, but it's a coach's decision. Babcock had planned to make the team practice Saturday morning and then have Sunday off, but he joked Thursday night that the players would be spending the five-hour plane ride home trying to talk him out of practicing Saturday. It may well turn out to be an optional practice, with Hasek and the younger skaters taking a go-around. Hasek said he hopes to play Wednesday -- but he'll have to run that by Babcock, first. "He won't be going Wednesday, probably, but he'll go when he goes," Babcock said. so, maybe you will get Ozzie again.
