Emery needs to knock it off if he wants to stay in the league for a while, this isnt basketball or football where you can basicaly say or do what you want and as long as your play is good teams want you. And IMO he isnt that good, so he better shape up.

Why should we care? Emery doesn't play for Detroit and he never will (I hope). He's apparently not all that serious about a career that so many would do anything to have, but few will get a chance at.

Perhaps Murray will send him down to the AHL, where Ray-Ray can learn something about work ethic from the Bingo Sens goalies.

If this was the worst thing Emery's ever done, I can understand people objecting when someone makes a big deal about it, but this guy has prima donna written all over him. From his bouts of temper to his lack of professionalism, I'm surprised people are defending him. There are posters here who will take every opportunity to declare their disdain for Manny Legace, and he was never as bad as Emery.

Hmmm... Emery is a hockey goalie, Vick is a football QB, and Kwame is a politician (unless you were referring to the linebacker for the Arizona Wildcats) what could it be that they all have in common that you somehow lump them together?

I chose to lump them all together because they all have the same attitude of "hey it's not my fault it's someone elses." It's called personal responsibility and none of them have it. I would like to see you prove me wrong and show me how those 3 have personal responsibility.

Your request for personal accountability is well taken, but your approach to the argument has me seriously scratching my head.

Kwame, Vick and Emery = hip hop attitude for not taking responsibility for their actions (and, not that I'd defend the piece of trash, but Vick did, in his letter to the judge).

Kwame, Vick and Emery also all = african american

Mac = potential white trash, but not white trash since he took responsibility for his actions

Not that I defend Burt but didnt he have press conferance to publicly appologize? Did anyone else do that like he did? And a lawyer written press release does not count.
