That must be a LGW record! Oh, and I love it when people describe Samuelsson as a gritty, tough player. Unfortunately Lang was looking for a little something extra to top the deal off and negotiations ended. In all fairness though, he gets grilled here alot but lettuce remember the good things he did here....and given our team's current pickle, maybe it wouldnt be so bad having him back around! I cant imagine two better additions that he and big Mac...that would be a whopper of a deadline if you ask me. Nobody would see the Lang trade coming either, Holland would sure throw a slider at all of us! Lang could definitely help "ourB" powerplay unit and more than anything, and help Rally the team out of our current slump. Plus look at the guy's size, he's a Big boy and would add some much needed beef to the roster. His heart still belongs on the Wings i believe, he's old but not done by a longshot and still bleeds red....so i say why the hell not bring him back? Lou_Siffer 1 Report post Posted February 16, 2008 Lang is well done; I mean he'll get grilled the minute he hits the ice (IMO he can't cut the mustard here in Detroit, & will be trying to ketchup to our younger guys)...Sure - Lang can relish the thought of a return (many Lang supporters feel he got a raw deal), but 1 night of boos, & I'm sure he'll head to a local bar to get pickled. My biggest fear is Lang facing a well seasoned Flames; they'll make him look like a chicken as they tenderize our small fry forwards, & Lang won't chip in when push comes to shove.....For now this Lang talk is on the back burner. I dont know,maybe you're right...he'd probably feel more at home on St Louis. A McDonald - Lang - King line comes to mind. I'd be a little leery of Lang's hearty though with all this burger talk, wouldnt mind it if he got checked out at the Mayo clinic first before we make any trade inquiries. I did think many posters here were too hard on him, and that he wasn't that bad; not great, but not the way some on here made him out to be. But lately, he has really been sucking bad. I mean, I think I am pretty fair when I watch hockey; I try not to be too hard on players unless they really deserve it. Before, I didn't think Sammy deserved some of the crap he got on here.
