Came like .03844384 seconds after that. Doesn't matter. Only thing that matters is that his facebook status is that he is coming here. And it's on facebook. SO IT MUST BE TRUE.

As hard as I've been on Sammy, I'd rather have it be Kopecky and Flip. Hossa would more than make up for their loss. The loss of Sammy, a decent third and second liner? That might hurt.

If Atlanta trades Hossa, they are looking at Kovalchuk, Kozlov, and White as their top three forwards expected to return next season. Recchi is a possibility as well. Holik is likely gone, as is Rucchin. So Atlanta would likely be looking to acquire a solid young forward and another serviceable forward capable of playing both ways. That to me sounds like Filppula/Samuelsson. If Recchi returns, that would give the Thrash a top-two lines consisting of:

Kovalchuk/White/Recchi

Kozlov/Filppula/Samuelsson

That's a pair of lines with solid play going both ways. Dupuis, Perrin, and Thorburn provide a serviceable third line capable of scoring the odd goal and providing gritty defense. That combination kind of reminds me of the Grind Line circa 1999, actually.

I'm just saying the execution wasn't there. It would've been a whole lot funnier if you wouldn't have posted 13 times about how you were going to do it. Should've just made it, not said anything about it, posted the photo and it would've been hilarious.

That said, I think it's plausible that this is true. Normally I'd be 100% skeptical, but that profile is realistic enough that it could be his. Or it's a helluva fake and whoever made it deserves a job well done.

Also, if it was a fake profile and fake-Flip was just effing with people, why would he pull down that status update? Wouldn't it make more sense to leave it up so more people could notice and get sucked in? It makes more sense that he was like "s***, I probably shouldn't have said that" and took it down.

It's either his or it's a fake and the guy is absolutely playing it to perfection.

I said earlier that it could be true, he's in the same age bracket as you and me, it's not too far conceived that he may have a facebook profile. Although I did also say it's probably fake. Who know's though. And I've said I hope it's true, Hossa on this team would be insane (Sundin would be good too for all the Sundin lovers out there).

You actually have a freaking awesome point. If it were me I would leave it up just to f*ck with people.
