motorcitykid 42 Report post Posted February 26, 2008 WoW...we really needed a 2nd line scorerLast summer, and it wasn't the first, Holland said he wanted to be patient, and WILL make moves before the deadline. He knows what this team can do, and what tweaking he needs to do. And yet, another deadline comes & goes and we still see Samuelsson among our top 6 forwards. All we need now is the Holland presser and his lists of reasons WHY he couldn't do anything, and actually WHY he DIDN'T even need to do anything. Unreal. TeeMan 52 Report post Posted February 26, 2008 It's not official that the Wings didn't do anything right? We did get F Francis Lemieux from the Habs. But I think he'll be playing for GR.
OsGOD 3 Report post Posted February 26, 2008 Penguins give away, Colby Amrstong, Erik Christensen, Angelo Esposito and possibly a 1st round pick Who moved their cheese? Pitts did apparently. and got a pretty decent player in return.

irishtemper14+25 11 Report post Posted February 26, 2008 i dunno. if the Wings dont do anything im not going to go crazy like some of you are. the Ducks did get better than last year yes they added Schneider and Bertuzzi and gave up Dustin Penner. consider this: the Wings were pretty much neck and neck with the Ducks last year and they got some VERY generous bounces in that playoff series (the pass across crease that hit Lidstrom's stick and went in, Lilja coughing up the puck in OT). im not gonna freak out, i think the Wings can definitely still hang with, and win a series against the Ducks. its just that im a bit concerned right now because the secondary scoring has been MIA the last few weeks. dont forget niedefaggot pushing hasek in the net with his stick for a goal

omnipotent_hudler 0 Report post Posted February 26, 2008 (edited) Holland must get to put it in his pocket i guess Thats the only reason he does not get a name on the deadline day .....Does Holland have a NTC Put him back in pads and throw him in net hahaha no, no. no he does not get the money. wow Edit: YOU MEAN SOMETIMES TEAMS DONT GET PLAYERS AT THE DEADLINE? OH GOD WHY I HAVE I WASTED MY DAY STARING AT MY COMPUTER(because you are stupid) Edited February 26, 2008 by omnipotent_hudler
bellarina 1 Report post Posted February 26, 2008 If they don't sign Hossa in the off-season I can't wait for Flip to be a 100+ point guy. Flip is good, no question, but come on. Does everyone still think Holland is the best GM in the league right now? Like people have said, he's a good gm, but not that good. Actually Holland is the Best GM in the league. He didn't sell the team for a cup run. Decisions aren't made only with him.

YoungGuns1340 1 Report post Posted February 26, 2008 I cant believe...with FIVE key injuries to this lineup.....having won ONE game of our last NINE....that Holland did nothing. EVERY team that had issues, addressed them. The Wings sat on their hands. I guess Darren McCarty was the answer to all our problems.. Wings and Habs fans need to have a pity party.. redwings1914 18 Report post Posted February 26, 2008 Because Todd Bertuzzi represents all potential deadline acquisitions for every season from here until the end of time. Well I'm just bringing up our last "Blockbuster" deal at the deadline.......How about Ranford/Clark/Samuellson/Chelios? Schneider?......Years we won the cup we got a combined Murphy (best deal), Macoun, Mironov and Slegr........Hmmm

StevieY9802 6 Report post Posted February 26, 2008 Detroit better murder Edmonton tonight or it's fail x 2 today Lidstrom, Rafalski, Kronwall, Chelios, Cleary and Draper out. Yeah I'm sure it will be a big one. TSN is making another good point about Gretz back in 96. Everyone thought that was gonna be huge playing with Hull.
