GMRwings1983 8,804 Report post Posted February 26, 2008 I'd actually trade Hudler for him in a heartbeat. At least we know Lang is a proven playoff scorer, while we don't know that yet about Hudler. Besides, I'm still afraid we might play Chicago in the first round of the playoffs where he'll score 4 game winning goals against us.
Kp-Wings 3 Report post Posted February 26, 2008 For the 100th time this season, I'll post what I already posted before regarding Lang: Over the summer, Ken Holland contacted Lang's agent, Petr Svoboda (yes, the same Petr Svoboda that played in the NHL, who is now a player agent). Holland told Svoboda that the Wings would not be offering his client, Lang, a contract, and was free to start looking for a new team to play with. Holland and Svoboda already have a relationship together, as Svoboda also works with many other NHL players, including the Wings own Jiri Hudler, making the situation easier for both sides. In short: I'd be very, very surprised if the Wings wanted a player that, for one, weren't even interested in re-signing over the summer. Besides that, Babcock and Lang did not see eye to eye, and Lang is not even having that great of a season. If he was, Chicago would probably not being trying to trade him. GMRwings1983 8,804 Report post Posted February 26, 2008 I'm surprised no one has mentioned yet that at one point in his career he led the league in scoring late into the season, meaning that we should get him.

I hear that Chicago is unhappy with him, and I think that he could fit pretty well into our lineup to add some scoring depth. I think that anyone that ever has him will be unhappy with him... He Is Lazy And He Sucks I would not like Lang back. There is a reason Detroit let him go, and he is under contract for 4 million dollars, which is 1.5 million too much... You may be able to stand the playoffs with this guy, but another season? And at that price? No thanks.
