Chairman Maouth 97 Report post Posted March 15, 2008 (edited) The Ducks have fans? Apparently so. I'm not a big fan of generalizing about an entire fanbase, but they're pretty loony over on the Ducks board. Many of them are claiming that Kesler endangered Pronger more by holding onto his leg for an eighth of a second than Pronger endangered Kesler by kicking him. miller76 463 Report post Posted March 15, 2008 (edited) What a joke. Pronger is going to end somebodys career, and I hope it's not a Wing. I do hope McCarty gets a crack at him. Somebody needs to blow up this mf'ers car or something. Edited March 15, 2008 by miller76
Wings_Dynasty 267 Report post Posted March 15, 2008 I expected 10 as a minimum. Epic fail.
VM1138 1,921 Report post Posted March 15, 2008 I just want someone to go with him. Even if they lose. It's just like the beginning of the Colorado rivalry. The Wings need to show Anaheim specifically that they won't be cheap-shotted. Even if the Wing loses, we need more fights with Pronger. He's got this invincibility thing, and eventually we'd wear him down.
Guest nutz2u Report post Posted March 15, 2008 Quoting Colin, Simons act was "repugnant and unaccecptable." Pronger does the same thing and the act was "careless and reckless." What the hell happened to repugnant and unacceptable? Where's your balls Colin?

Kronwall55 0 Report post Posted March 16, 2008 (edited) I'm surprised he got as many games as he did. They were probably looking at it as "gee, we gotta do something Lets suspend him until right before the playoffs so he'll be well rested" They're idiots. I keep telling myself what goes around comes around and someday Pronger will get his. Edited March 16, 2008 by Fedorov65
Wings_Dynasty 267 Report post Posted March 16, 2008 The Ducks argued for 7, the NHL was contemplating up to 10. Hmmm.....

Red Winged 8 Report post Posted March 16, 2008 I wanted more but this means that in the playoffs he has no room to be the cheat/dirty player he is.
akustyk 84 Report post Posted March 16, 2008 just listen to the video on TSN. at the very end there's Burke saying something like: "this is Pronger, he's not going to change and we want him like this" and Campbell, as usual, has zero balls to call THIS bulls*** and suspend Pronger for what he deserves. instead, he lets him virtually free and just asks the Ducks to continue their s***. I'm sick of this. it's disgrace to hockey

Airborn 0 Report post Posted March 16, 2008 Awesome, now he gets an 8 game rest before the playoffs! My thoughts exactly. This is hardly a punishment, as Pronger will now be better rested for the playoffs.
gordie9 0 Report post Posted March 16, 2008 How much longer is Pronger going to get away with this nonsense. Burke is in bed with Colin Campbell again. The minimum that joker should have got was 20 games. Like someone else said he just gets a rest before the playoffs. It should have been for the rest of the regular season and playoffs. It always seems to end up as a double standard with the so called star players getting a break. When is the league going to smarten up.
SouthernWingsFan 854 Report post Posted March 16, 2008 Incredibly hypocritical that Simon gets 30 and Pronger only gets 8 when they are both definitely "repeat offenders" in terms of suspensions. I wander if Simon will speak out any more regarding this. Oh well, I'll guess I'll be content with at least they did SOMETHING about this.
GMRwings1983 8,794 Report post Posted March 16, 2008 (edited) Simon should take over Colin Campbell's job. Or he can just beat up Campbell's son that plays in Florida, as retaliation. Maybe he can stomp on him. Edited March 16, 2008 by GMRwings1983
YoungGuns1340 1 Report post Posted March 16, 2008 Im seriously exhausted about being pissed off at Burke. From the goals arbitrarily not counting for Detroit when we play them, to the ludicrous call against Datsyuk in Game 5 of the series last year, to the bulls*** calls this year, the Niedermayer and Selanne free vacations, and now this, it literally wears you out. And then of course today on CBC they had a discussion about how Giguere rigs his shoulder pads so that when he goes down into the butterfly position, his shoulder paids raise up about 2 inches off his shoulders to cover up more of the net. Its getting hard to deny that theres not some sort of connection between Brian Burke and the NHL's front office. And Wings fans arent the only ones that have noticed. From the looks of messageboards around the net, everyone is pretty sick of it..

Poetic Justice would Pronger taking out Campbell's son. I think thats probably the only case where both Campbell and Pronger would get f*cked.

Uncle Danny 155 Report post Posted March 16, 2008 LOL... I'm watching the Ducks/Blues game right now, and they run an intermission segment called "Hockey 101." This game's question was "What does it mean to be a 'healthy scratch.'" The answer was something akin to: Well, a player can be scratched due to injury, when they're unable to play or on injured reserve, or they can be held out of the lineup due to suspension, ala Chris Pronger, or they can be able to play and it's a coaches decision that they won't dress for the game. The fact that this came from the Ducks broadcast is funny on so many levels.
