russianswede919293 95 Report post Posted March 16, 2008 Man, babcock needs too play dats, zed, and franzen 5 on 5. Yeah but then our second line is Hudler-Filppula-Sammy I would not be cool with that. Homer and Cleary need to get back. Is there any way Danny can play now with his super shield??? YoungGuns1340 1 Report post Posted March 16, 2008 Thank god. It did occur to me that we lost 5-1 last time we played this team. But then I realized they still had Foote and Fedorov then..

russianswede919293 95 Report post Posted March 16, 2008 Anybody think that right now in Homer's absence Franzen is actually playing better than Homer did when he wasn't injured? 7 game points streak with 8 points? And now a goal again? That has got to be worth something. Franzen is a better guy to pair with Z and Dats on the 1st line but I'll take Homer over Franzen on the PP any day. marcaractac 3,963 Report post Posted March 16, 2008 Franzen-Dats-Cleary Flip-Hank-Homer That would be two lovely lines going into the playoffs me thinks.

But then I realized they still had Foote and Fedorov then..Leclaire was in net, too. It's like the Jackets are going 'neener neener, we're practically offering you two points on a platter and you're not gonna get them!' Jwo 7 Report post Posted March 16, 2008 The good thing is the wings are already in the Playoffs. They don't need to play hard and risk getting injuries.

Is there any way Danny can play now with his super shield??? Yeah im watching the game on fsn ohio and their talking about how good datsyuk and zetterberg play together, but with the injuries its just not possible. Cleary needs to wear a space helmet or something, and just get the hell back!

Yeah, but coasting into the playoffs isn't a good idea. It's not like they can just flip the "Play Well" switch on at any time (Case in point, today's game). YoungGuns1340 1 Report post Posted March 16, 2008 Hank, Datsyuk, Homer, Cleary, Franzen? Flip? Wow. Are we really going to have a FULL SIX FORWARDS that score 20 goals this season?? This bodes very well for next season..
cirov19 1 Report post Posted March 16, 2008 (edited) Wow, shots are 26-12 ... and we are losing 4-2.. sounds like the Nashville game they had during the middle of the slump. Edited March 16, 2008 by cirov19

Number of shots don't really amount to much when most of them make use of that star on the chest as a target.

cirov19 1 Report post Posted March 16, 2008 Number of shots don't really amount to much when most of them make use of that star on the chest as a target. Very true. But I'm they still have had more shot opportunities which could have gone towards any spot at the net and they took the centre of his chest..
Wingfan191 2 Report post Posted March 16, 2008 Yeah, people trying to use the shot totals as scoring chances = FAIL. The BJ's had had a much higher percentage of quality scoring chances on their shots, which is why they have 4 goals. It doesn't matter how many you take, it's what kind they are. They've had 2 one timer goals from the slot, one from the goal line basically that bounced off a few skates, and one mid air tip which is a one in a million fluke. That's 4 out of 12 right there, and their other 8 have been from in close. They're not peppering our goalies with softies and floaters from the blue line that they can see all the way, ala Sammy and Hudler.
savaking72 0 Report post Posted March 16, 2008 Man, babcock needs too play dats, zed, and franzen 5 on 5. I agree. Sammy does not deserve to be on the ice with either of the Euro Twins. Twins and Franzenstein. With Lids and Rafalski on defence. the best of what we have right now.

Nev 1,085 Report post Posted March 16, 2008 Completely losing your drive by the end of the season sounds like a perfect way to get knocked out in the first/second round again. Uh, that's a negatory Red Four. The last Stanley Cup win we stumbled into the post-season on a losing streak after we'd sown up 1st place with about a month to spare. Compared to the umpteen times the last 15 years we've breezed into the playoffs on the back of a long winning streak and........got dumped, often in a humiliating 1st round kind of way. This season has been like every other Wings season in the Lidstrom era. Loooooong win streak, short lose streak. Wash, rinse, repeat. A nice losing streak is *EXACTLY* what we need going into the playoffs (although I'd rather it was a couple of games away). When the wings play bad for a stretch, they get mad and become very focussed and go on one of those domination streaks we all love so much

wings_fanatic 677 Report post Posted March 16, 2008 except for the first goal, I am not blaming Dom at all. He had NO chance on the 3rd one, the second one bounced off 2 skates, and the 4th one he was screened. It just wasn't his day today... With that said, I think Dom will come out like a brick wall on Wednesday at the Joe to reedeem himself, not that he has to. On another note, I think there is a lack of coverage in our end that left Dom hanging a couple of times, therefore Wings need to step it up in their own end, and keep up with their momentum from the end of the second period... Cern 0 Report post Posted March 16, 2008 Do you think that the electric co. that's advertising would deliver the bubble hockey game to San Diego? Could I get the bubble hockey game without the Blue Jacket? Not that I really need it, I still have a Wayne Gretzky table hockey board from way back in 91. Rods are pretty rusty now but I still break it out from time to time.
