Two sides of being a Red Wings fan

LGW should sue him for plagiarism. :D

Actually, as a pessimist, I can't wait for the playoffs to start to get my blood boiling again. Until then, it's all just meaningless talk and banter about possible matchups and line combos, and whether Crosby is overrated.

I'm 90% optimist, 5% pessimist, 5% realist.

It usually flows like that. 90% of the season I am an optimist, 5% I am a pessimist (those would be the elimination games and games we should have won in the post and we just quit playing) and the other 5% is the realist who calms the pessimist down by saying we start again in October.

Bruce Macleod is a smart guy.

I'm always an optimist and that's not necessarily a good thing. I always ALWAYS believe the Wings will pull it off, no matter what the score is or what the time is, (or any team I want to win for that matter).

Per Bruce Macleod.

He MUST be reading these boards!

What he refers to as a pessimist, I don't see that as much. At least the pessimist according to him talks about potential flaws/weaknesses in some detail instead of just saying, "WE'RE F**KED" or "WINGS ARE LAZY AND THEY SUCK" without explaining why.

Those are usually a select few, but when things go a little down south, it rains and pours with those stupid select few.

I'm a pessimist when things are looking rosy. I believe there is always room for improvements and you can't stay idle at anytime

However I turn into an optimist when things are turning bad because 'Faith is to believe what you do not see; the reward of this faith is to see what you believe.'

Lets put it this way for me, during the month of February I watched every second of the games and at the end of everyone of them I just smiled :hehe: Because I just kept thinking how we didn't play badly even with so many key players out.. I knew we'd be back

Screw that static. I am a realist.

We have the best team in the league right now, standings-wise. We have the best goalie tandem in the league right now, standings-wide. We have an all-universe d-man, and 3 other solid d-men. We have the best two way forward line in hockey.

We are the Detroit Red Wings. I'm not scared. Bring it on.

All true. We have also scored the 2nd most goals, allowed the fewest shots and the fewest goals.

But you know what? It all counts for naught in 2 weeks.

I am a pessimist and I hate the playoffs.
