Wings_Dynasty 267 Report post Posted April 14, 2008 Wings have their mojo working against a weak Preds team. Keep Tootoo from running around and it's an easy, uneventful win. Wings 4 (Stein, Raffy, Z, Cleary) Preds 1 (who cares)
Third Man In 2,091 Report post Posted April 14, 2008 Hell yeah! Let's Go Wings!!!
dr_lobster 0 Report post Posted April 14, 2008 (edited) Great thread, woo. Would like to see our special teams excel during game three -- 1/10 on the power play doesn't cut it. That being said, I'd expect a livelier game from Nashville, who looked unwilling to carry the physical play during parts of game two. If we can continue to knock in a goal or two from a secondary scorer, we'll be in great shape to bend with whatever Nashville can do on offense. 4-3 Wings, in single OT. seeinred 1,488 Report post Posted April 14, 2008 14-2 Wings Datsyuk with 11 assists. I gotta stick with my 14-2 predictions.
Superman54 91 Report post Posted April 14, 2008 Just lookin at the injury report, I completly forgot about Kops being out for the entire series, I already miss the guy! Wings know that the Preds are gonna come out desperate, so play smart, patient, solid hockey, and we got this one in the bag!
Rice 42 Report post Posted April 14, 2008 Wow, I didn't realize the Wings' PP is 1 for 10 this series. That definitely needs improvement.
Nero 20 Report post Posted April 14, 2008 "Babcock plans on splitting Datsyuk and Zetterberg, to create matchup problems." April Fools? If we start having serious issues then this needs to be reverted
HockeyCrazy3033 168 Report post Posted April 14, 2008 I got a really good feeling about tonight! Wings gotta come out flying and quiet the building up ASAP. SCORE EARLY, FAST, AND OFTEN FELLAS! LETS GO RED WINGS!!! BTW, Raffy has a huge game tonight.
Shaman 713 Report post Posted April 14, 2008 Hopefully the Wings put the boot to the pred's throat. My Prediction, Dom makes a big save, Tootoo gets a suspension and Trotz finds his neck and quits coaching to pursue his first dream of being a ballet dancer. oh and 5-1 Wings, 2 zets, 1 flip, 1 Mac, 1 Dats
Inultus 12 Report post Posted April 14, 2008 The only thing I'm worried about is the Wings getting soft against a depleted Nashville lineup. Play hard boys!!! Totally proud of the play thus far, I was at game 1, and though mostly uneventful, I have confidence in them, after all a win is a win, especially come playoff time. Reds4Life 51 Report post Posted April 14, 2008 Wings take this one..5:0 (Pav, Zata, Filppula, Lidstrom, Stuart) Let's go Red Wings!
Aussie_Wing 354 Report post Posted April 14, 2008 - Babcock plans on splitting Datsyuk and Zetterberg, to create matchup problems. Excellent decision, especially on the road. I've got a feeling Flip will net one this game, for his confidence he needs to.
SweWings 45 Report post Posted April 14, 2008 Damn, this'll be the first game I'll miss. But I'm confident Detroit will win this... LetsGoWings!!
Argo 0 Report post Posted April 14, 2008 This will be the hardest fought game of the series! I see very little scoring, but the Wings come out on top!!! Wings win 1:
Firehawk 305 Report post Posted April 14, 2008 I agree that this will be the toughest fought game of this series yet. I think if Detroit is going to lose a game this series, it will be tonight. In fact, I'm a little worried about it. If the wings go up 3-0, I think it'll be a sweep. But if Nashville wins tonight, who knows what happens in game 4. I really don't know what to predict today. I'll predict a 2-2 game going into OT, and leave it at that...

HOCKEY MATTERS 167 Report post Posted April 14, 2008 the only thing better than an aflac gdt is a PLAYOFF aflac gdt! Wings need to keep thier heads up, I think. Especially if they pull too far ahead. Preds will be looking to hurt/maim.
Williams29fan 6 Report post Posted April 14, 2008 Wings embarrass the hell out of the preds 5-1 on their own ice!!!! Wings: Z, Dats, Clears, Stein x 2 Preds: 22 :puke:
Guest DetroitBoy313 Report post Posted April 14, 2008 Wings finally need a convincing win in this series.
interminded 1 Report post Posted April 14, 2008 This is an important game. Winning gives you a 3-0 lead in the series, which (let's be honest) is a lock for winning the series. Losing makes it 2-1 and can give the Preds a boost. let's hope the boys can keep feep grinding and scoring like in the first two games. 4-2 Wings.
