We did put on a dominant performance last night. I mean if you look at 3rd period of last night even Stars players look dejected. If you've seen Dallas players' interview.. they look so devasted and they just didn't have any answers or hope in their eyes. They just didn't know what to say or what to think or how they should go about next games. Even their local media already wrote them off. Every single one of them. If you goto their messageboard, everyone talks about how they are proud of Dallas of making western conference final etc..

So I think it is understandable that people feel the series is over already.

However, just look at the top of your page and see 11 numbered victories Wings have achieved so far. Every win required alot of determinations and will. And to fill out the next empty 5 spaces, it is imperative that we have to get number 12 as soon as possible.

Last night's game is over already. It is time to focus on getting number 12 against Dallas in their home building. They are not going to give it away to us. In fact, they will give their best effort yet for their fans alone. We have to go out tomorrow, pound their bodies and take what is belong to us from them. (wow I feel like I want to play)

I believe the Wings will win as much as the next guy but I hate cockiness and that's the root of a large number of losses. We don't need that, and we don't need people to think our fan base has stupid attitudes because of this.

It's obvious it's going to be ridiculously hard for Dallas to win this series but it can happen, it has happened and one win from them can change everything.

That being said, Dallas will definately show up tomorrow, but Detroit's expecting it and has been in a leading position only to lose too many times to sit back and relax. I refuse to predict the outcome, but I'm sure that you understand what I'm trying to say. Deeeetroit.

I've been awake now since 8, and have posted here several times today, but only now did I realize that we still have to play Dallas tomorrow.

From reading some of the other topics and things being posted here today, it appears that many people have forgotten it also, and share my confusion.

I understand that you have to win 4 games to win a series, but it still feels anti-climactic that we should play them again, since everyone is already looking towards the finals and Dallas looks finished. The game tomorrow just seems like some ritual that must be done even though it makes no sense to have to do it.

Can't the league just step in and call this game off? I think Dallas wouldn't mind, especially after what happened to the divealanche in game 4 of that series.

Because it takes 4 games to win a series no matter who the opponent is or whether they are "overmatched" or not. The Wings have won nothing yet.

I don't think what any of us post can affect the outcome of the games, unless Lidstrom is cruising through LGW, and he decides to heed by my advice and take it easy tomorrow. The post doesn't tempt fate in any way.

I guess I do feel pretty arrogant, though, the way the team is playing right now. I can't help it, it's so fun to watch.

I just want this series to be over instead of having to look at the Stars' faces for one more game.

I'm not, however, saying that we've already won the Cup, since I think the Penguins will be a tough matchup for us. I remember in 1995 the Wings coasted through the playoffs, and got embarrased in the Finals, thus ruining that entire season. I wouldn't want to see that again.

Regardless, I don't see the good in being arrogant. As Stevie Y once said, "When you lose, say little. When you win, say less."

I also expect Dallas to really come on strong. They saw how SJ came back to bring it to 4OTs in their game 6 and know it's not impossible (just improbable)

With that said, I'm looking forward to tomorrow night! Either Wings finish them off and rest up or I'll be going to the Joe on Saturday! It's really Win-Win situation for me

I agree , but i only agree that that they'll come out STRONG at first. Once detroit gets a goal or two , you see them slow down.

I am sorry but I hope all people with game 5 tickets are disappointed. Dallas is still a good hockey team and needs to have the door slammed on their season immediately. I don't think Detroit will lose but having this series turn into a 6 or 7 game series would be disappointing. We could use another rest before making our final push for the Cup.

We've won 9 straight games, and I can never remember seeing that kind of playoff domination from the Wings. It's supposed to be difficult to progress through each series, and this series along with the last one have been runaway jokes.

There's a fine line between "being cocky" and "being arogant".

Not playing a game 4, because we are that good or we've been supposedly 'dominating' is arrogant.

And arrogance is not a quality that I would the Red Wings franchise associated with.

Actually they do sell out; the Red Wings staff can't force the season ticket holders to show up. Nor can they resell a ticket halfway through the 1st if the seat isn't filled. The problem isn't selling the tickets.
