Fleury squirts Al Sobotka with water

I was just reading Scott Burnsides' column from yesterday and read this. It's a pretty small thing, but thought it was interesting no one had made mention of it.

"I don't know. It was just at the game, he does it to us [swinging the octopus]. And after the first two games, I thought I'll give him a little something back. And we won, so it's good," said Fleury.

It's not everyday you see the other team's goalie getting into it with the arena crew before a Stanely Cups finals game. The rest of the article is pretty boring, but here's the link if anyone wants it.

and they also ate Dominos pizza in the locker room! who let Dominos in the Little Cesaers arena?

I think the question is, which Dominos delivered? Maybe they don't want any more business! The appropriate response should have been, "No, I'm sorry, Mr Therrien, WE JUST RAN OUT!"

It would be hilarious if it weren't completely inappropriate. You just don't do that as a professional athlete. It's not a big deal, it's just really immature.

I can't really get myself to believe that swinging a dead octopus over your head before a game is any more mature -- be it history or not. In any way, I don't see anything wrong with Fleury shooting some water towards Al, it's not like he hit him in the crotch with his stick like Balfour would likley do. If anything, it seems to show that Al swinging that octopus really gets to the other team. :)

Yeah, i really don't see anything wrong with what fleury did...i think it was just all in good fun...its not like he dumped the water over his head or something......i actually saw him do this...to me it look like a little playful gesture on fleury's part...and sobotka didn't really seem to mind it either. It wasn't near as bad as mcleoud picking up the octopus , shaking it at the wings bench and then chucking it at the avs entrance behind the bench...THAT was unsportsmanlike...fleury squirting water at sobotka just seemed like a playful thing he was doing to relieve some tension...no big deal...if sobotka was pissed, which i saw his face....he wasn't....then he'd be pretty much a hypocrite....he swung the octo, and fleury played back with a little squirt...harmless.

Given that it came out of the same bottle that Fleury drinks from, you sure you want to ask that question? Does Fleury have a little Mo Clarett in him?

Was he getting his goose on? :)

I will be worried if I see Fleurry with a Katana.

Fleury is like a retarded guy or something:

He trips on the ice

Squirts Sobotka with water

Hits one of our players helmets across the ice

Bumps one of our players with his stick

:dozing:
