I would move Lebda. Meech is just as fast and has more upside then Lebda ever will.

Awesome. Given what comparable players are being paid, this is a serious bargain. A mistake or two aside (And who didn't make a mistake or two in the playoffs?) I thought Stuart put up a very solid performance. Now we've got a great #3 and #4, and are paying them probably 2/3 of what other teams in the league might be paying them. Nevermind how ridiculous our #1 and #2 are.

I'm really curious to see how he performs with a full year as a Wing. I'll bet his hit placement steadily improves and he has his best season in points thus far.

This is nice news. It'll be interesting what happens with Chelios. I would've liked to see all the young GR defencemen grow up to be Wings, but that's almost impossible now.

Now a second line winger would be nice too, but it's not necessary, especially if Drake comes back and McCarty or Downey is resigned. There are kids like Helm, Kopecky and Leino and at least the first two can play in 3rd or 4th line. I'm fine with either Samuelsson or Cleary in the second line with Filppula and Franzén.

For the people complaining about not having room for the young guys, do you remember when Lilja was paired with Lidstrom on the top line? Remember when this team had Cory Cross and Jason Woolley? I want THE BEST defense, even if that means letting the kids sit a little while longer.

I want to see the kids, too. But Holland and Co. aren't idiots. They know what they have. They obviously feel the kids aren't ready. Oh, they always want to win the Stanley Cup.
