sibiriak 84 Report post Posted July 10, 2008 (edited) According to the leading Russian sports paper "Sport-Express", Nashville forward Alexandr Radulov signed a lucrative 3-year contract with "Salavat Yulaev" of the Russian league. He had 1 year remaining on his rookie contract with Nashville. Radulov scored 62 pts last season. EDIT-spelling Edited July 10, 2008 by sibiriak

sibiriak 84 Report post Posted July 10, 2008 (edited) I don't get it.... the KHL and NHL agreed today to honour each others contracts..... I kind of don't fully believe it yet either. Life in Nashville really must suck for Radulov to do this. He made the NHL the hard way - through the minors. As to the "gentlemen agreement" between the leagues, Columbus just signed Filatov who has a year left on his contract with CSKA. Until they actually sign an official treaty with IIHF and the other European hockey countries, any handshake deal would be a non-starter. Elshupacabra 0 Report post Posted July 10, 2008 He must have felt REALLY bad for knocking Arnott out of the playoff series last year. It's almost too bad if he did indeed leave, that kid had some potential.

Glubki 17 Report post Posted July 10, 2008 I don't get it.... the KHL and NHL agreed today to honour each others contracts..... From the looks of it and the half assed babelfish interpretation of his interview the deal was signed before the nhl and khl came to an agreement. My guess is that his signing prompted immediate action by the nhl to come to terms with them. Whether or not the deal voids out his new contract is yet to be seen... edicius 3,269 Report post Posted July 11, 2008 I'd love to somehow blame this on Bettman, but I'm not sure if I can. Sucks for Nashville, though.

RedFX 48 Report post Posted July 11, 2008 (edited) Yeah something is definitely fishy about this article. If it was true this would be plastered everywhere down here. Not even anything on any of the rumor sites or message boards about this. This seems like a bunch of bull to me. EDIT: In fact, it was a day or two ago that Poile said he is working on a long-term extension with A-Rad. Edited July 11, 2008 by RedFX
