dteowner 20 Report post Posted July 14, 2008 Seems like he enjoys being a playoff "rental" to me. It certainly would make it easier to look like an all-star when everyone else has taken an 82 game beating and you're on fresh legs. This annual circus has had its run--time for Floppa to dive into the recliner for good.
Guest Shoreline Report post Posted July 14, 2008 Either he'll reap the rewards of the Avs (or some other hard working team) by coming back just in time to dive his way into the playoffs, or, he'll be practicing his diving on the greens:
chrisdetroit 189 Report post Posted July 14, 2008 Didn't everyone want him around the trade deadline..... how funny things change. Heck I might have even said I want him here. Don't count me in that group. I knew he was done 4 "if this doesn't work I might retire"'s ago.
chrisdetroit 189 Report post Posted July 14, 2008 I don't care about the deadline, I wasn't responding to your post specifically, just saying in general, IMO Zetts > turdboy. I'll argue that. Forsburg WAS greater than Z but Forsburg's best days were gone a long time ago.
Guest Crymson Report post Posted July 14, 2008 I'll argue that. Forsburg WAS greater than Z but Forsburg's best days were gone a long time ago. Why do some people continually misspell his name? Forsberg does not have a 'u'.
Rivalred 630 Report post Posted July 14, 2008 Now I am wondering if Forsburg will be a rental player for team's in the playoffs now as other's have mentioned. He really did hurt the Av's - he needs to make sure he is 100% if he ever does decide to return to the game.
GMRwings1983 8,804 Report post Posted July 14, 2008 I'll never forget hearing those stupid divealanche fans cheering each time this retard touched the puck in that game 3. They actually thought he'd make a difference.
BlueMonk 102 Report post Posted July 15, 2008 There's really nothing left to say about this ridiculous situation. He'll come back in time for the trade deadline, some team will sign him, he'll get hurt and screw up the chemistry and then we'll hear about how he was playing through double stress fractures in his leg, a dislocated pelvis and a torn brain. Then we'll do it all again next year. Good times.

He knows his body better than me, any LGW member on here, or anybody else. Sure a part of me is telling him to give it up because he's been injured so much. However, once again he knows his body better than anyone and who am I, or who is anybody on here, to tell somebody to quit doing the job or career that he or she loves, is that person wants to keep trying to prolong it for as long as possible? On the business side of this, if this keeps going on after this season Avalanche management might have to consider just pulling the plug on Forsberg since he just cannot get healthy on a consistent basis. But, if he can get through this stuff and play at the competitive level that he was used to years and years ago and that made him one of the most dominant players in the NHL, more power to him, it would be kinda a cool "comeback" story, doesn't matter if he plays for a "rival" or "hated" team of our beloved Red Wings. It would be kinda cool if he came back and had his career ended with a vicious bodycheck. Since he can't make up his own mind, then maybe someone should do it for him. How's that for your devil's advocate attitude? Edited July 15, 2008 by GMRwings1983
Dabura 12,232 Report post Posted July 15, 2008 If there was no money to be made, he would've given up four years ago.

Since he can't make up his own mind, then maybe someone should do it for him. How's that for your devil's advocate attitude? Definitely not the route I would've taken. But that's largely because I don't really get into the "rivalry" game and don't really have any feelings one way or the other towards the Avalanche.
lfd250 1 Report post Posted July 15, 2008 What's the big deal he plays, he doesn't. Why does it have to be a story over and over. Some poor Avs guy busts his ass all year just to be told, thanks but Forsberg wants to come back. That should be the story. If you're not in the teams system as of Nov 1st, then you can't play this year.
RockyMountainWingGal 108 Report post Posted July 15, 2008 Forsberg's "hockeyheart" was never, ever larger than Yzerman's. Wasn't that great when he bolted to Philly for more money - although the Avs did lowball him. Avs fans take this as "good news" that he'll come back again by the trade deadline. Talk about inability to move on. If you have to count on this guy to come back and rescue your team again in March - you're in trouble (hopefully at our hands again ). Guest LivingtheDream Report post Posted July 16, 2008 (edited) This guy has got the biggest hockeyheart on earth so just shut up already, he's gonna try this last time to fix it, the doctors finally know whats wrong with it, it's a muscle in the foot which change size when its in a skate and that makes him loose balanse, and everyone would get the groin problems when they havent played a game for 1 year... so if this special-custom-made-program works for him let him sign with the avs after christmas, it will only be fun for us wing fans... and if it doesn't work im 100% sure he will retire, he's had the problems for 5years now and its just recent months that they understood the real issue. My God this is stupid on so many levels I don't know where to start. Biggest heart? No way, biggest prima donna, sure is. Groin problems from not playing a year? How about just playing a year like everyone else instead of sitting out to come in fresh for the playoffs. He's a great player sure, but f$ck him and his whiney ***** game over and over. Just go, leave the NHL. Edited July 16, 2008 by LivingtheDream
