YoungGuns1340 1 Report post Posted October 10, 2008 I wouldn't be so pissed if I hadn't been so hyped up to see my first NHL game in 5 months. Instead its sloppy, choppy, and an all around letdown. Obviously Im not worried about them in the long term, but I am disappointed that the team didn't even give us something to look nicely on. They played about 4 minutes of good hockey, and got 2 goals out of it to boot, but the other 50+ minutes was pretty unbearable to watch. I was on cloud nine before a 7, so its a pretty long way to fall after such a pathetic effort.
GMRwings1983 8,804 Report post Posted October 10, 2008 Given today's loss, its clear that it is time to write of this season and begin to look ahead. What do you guys think, do we go into rebuilding mode and trade as many veterans as we can for draft picks and young players, or do we have enough of a core to build from heading into the 2009 season? Thoughts? I agree with you. We need to start rebuilding like the Leafs are. Maybe then we can play as hard as they did tonight, instead of playing like some spoiled, pompous rock stars that have nothing to prove.

Guest Agalloch Report post Posted October 10, 2008 That was one of the worst games I've seen the Wings play in years. Simply terrible in every facet of the game... but people are kidding themselves if they think the lost two points in this game are going to matter. By the end of the month they're already going to have a huge lead on the pack, so who honestly cares? The worst part about this isn't the loss, it's the fact that they lost to that ******* douchebag Ron Wilson and the loleafs.
motorcitykid 42 Report post Posted October 10, 2008 Don't be a ******. The Wings played like s***, which you admitted yourself, and they're going to get ragged on for it. If you think it's OK to let them off the hook for something like that, then there's a reason you aren't a coach. Yes, it's the first game of the season, but if you don't pressure them to play better, they don't change a thing, and for all we know this can happen all season long. Don't act like because it's game one it doesn't ******* matter. Two points can go a long, long way, and two points onight should have been a walk in the park, but we played like an AHL team. Excuse me, but I somehow doubt they give a s*** about what we have to say on these boards. Go and "pressure" them if you'd like, but I suspect you'll get kicked out of the arena as a result. It doesn’t matter, sucking balls goes beyond sexual orientation. For example the Wings sucked balls tonight, but that does not mean they are ***. Hockeytown Red Wings 245 Report post Posted October 10, 2008 (edited) Yes. Do you have any more brilliant questions you'd like to ask? Haha, your local beer league team doesn't count. I'm not trying to fight you, so relax. You're obviously very emotionally distressed, don't want to add on.
