I love the late games on CBC. Always so much hitting and fighting.

I know eh, it's unreal... I miss the good old days when the grind line could provide entertainment like this

both teams just oozing of fighting potential... I wanna see Hordi vs. Vandy

Dont even get me started haha, I miss the grind line back when they used to just go out and crash, bang, fight and chip in the occasional goal.

That'd be good, I want to see Bieksa vs. Phaneuf buckets off, and Ohlund and Iginla, just because they battle so hard.

Maybe there's something in the water in Western Canada?

 There really is. VAN/CGY, CGY/EDM, and VAN/EDM are always great, entertaining games. Fighting, physical play, great saves, great goals. I love it.

I missed a lot of the action but Flames-Canucks really is a terrific game. Tons of hitting and end to end action. Man, the energy Luongo has to expend just to keep his team in a game is ridiculous. No way can a guy play 70 games at this pace and have anything left for the playoffs.

TSN and Sportsnet were talking about MacIntyre. Is he a beast?

this is his first NHL fight against Jim Vandermeer

he's been more or less undefeated in the minors with tremendous size (6'6 265) and punching power... he has quite a few highlight reel knockouts and will add a few more this year

Tootoo mixes it up with Turco but when Ott comes in, his gloves are sewn on.

I saw that, Tootoo has turned into quite a ***** the past couple years. Hits from behind and cheapshots but he wont step up to the plate when the time comes. Avery got into his first fight last night as well, and got a win, even though the figth wasnt great.

A bit of a line brawl at teh end of the Ducks/Yotes game. Witht teh Ducks losing Perry and Getzlaf start yapping, Getzlaf goes with Sauer, gets the win, but it was a big hug fest. Martin friggin Hanzal tries to go with Corey perry and throws a punch at him and the linesman falls on top of both of them. Pronger and Carcillo start yapping at each other while Carcillo is still on the bench, Gretzky goes crazy at Kunitz and Fedoruk and Moen/Sutherby try swinging at one anoter from the benchs. And to end off, Selanne and Fedoruk have a nice chat from the bench.

No, I'm employed. :P

Almost 11PM here...

yeah i'm switching back and forth as well. i missed what i assume was a decent brawl? like 3-4 game misconducts and 5-6 5 for fighting majors?

pissed i missed it.

It was decent, although not everyone (that's you Bergenheim) fought back.

Like Jeanneret said,Rivet got 5+10 minutes for giving punches and Bergenheim got the same for taking them.

Nice to have another fight thread. :D

That Iginla vs. Mitchell fight last Saturday was great. I have to give the win to Mitchell, because he wailed on Iginla for most of the fight, with Iggy getting one-good punch at the end (which is basically how he got the takedown). I absolutley love those NW division games between Calgary, Edmonton, and Vancouver. The intensity that those teams show, and all during regular season games... you can't beat it.

The other big fight during that game (Prust vs. Rypien) really surprised me. How did Rypien not break his hand? He must have punched Prust' helmet a dozen times. It ended up being a fairly decent fight, despite being one where neither player took their helmet off, and both left them on (which I don't really care for).
