There is something seriously wrong with our defense. Our offense was beautiful. But I remember having the lowest GA, killing 5 on 3s left and right, and having the most feared D in the leauge. But 7 goals against? Really?

We lead this game 5 to 2 at the beginning of the 3rd. 5 goals in less than 20 minutes?! We played great for the first 2 periods, and then laid back for the last, and got BURNED for it.

Yup.

The Pens were beating the Wings to every puck the second half of the game. Detroit looked out of gas for most of the third period and all of OT.

As for my rant....

PATHETIC PATHETIC LOSS! You're up 5-2 and you lose 6-7 in overtime on a HORRIBLE goal!!! Whoever thinks this team doesn't have anything to worry about is just dead blind. This team needs to wake up. You don't blow a 3 goal lead and then a 2 goal lead later in the 3rd period. Stupid mistakes that haven't happened on this team since the Ducks. Regardless, this will be an insignificant loss come playoff time but none the less the Wings need a huge wake up call. They haven't won a game by more than 2 goals unless it was an empty netter. Oh wait, maybe one. This whole excuse of "every night will be a battle" is such an excuse it makes me sick. Yes, we will see teams at their best but we dominated the regular season AND the playoffs last year and only got better.

This team is not gonna make the long haul unless they have some kind of wake up call like the good old Yzerman locker room talk.

He has looked awful this year, and I'm tired of all the excuses everyone is making for him. This far into the season, the stats don't lie. His stats were bad going into this game, and today didn't help.

Maybe he needs Hasek back just to put some pressure on his ass. Ozzie is too comfy being the starter right now.

The two players I'm most disappointed tonight are Datsyuk and Lidstrom. Lidstrom needs to get that elbow checked out or something. Those weak stick checks and clearing attempts are simply uncharacteristic.

OK, the Refs decided that this was payback, they are going to do EVERYTHING in their power to make the Pens win this game, but you have to be kidding me, FIVE GOALS in the last 20 minutes? Ozzie SUCKS. I say that as an Ozzie 1.0 AND an Ozzie 2.0 fan. The guy cannot win when you are COUNTING on him. He SUCKS! We should start Conklin and Howard and WAIVE the useless leach. 15 games and Detroit can't finish a full game.. 15 straight ******* games.

Spoiled? No. We are the Red Wings. I don't demand perfection from Detorit and sure, they can play poorly a few games in a row.. But 15?! You don't even have enough fingers to ******* count that high.

Franzen, Homer and Hudler played great tonight no doubt.

Our defense on the other hand has been atrocious for 15 STRAIGHT games. Detroit needs to get their act together, this is pitiful hockey on their part.
