Start voting for the wings! (ASG)

keep in mind this is only starting lineups

True, and unless someone gets voted in as starter who doesn't deserve to even be in the game, it doesn't really matter. No one really pays attention to who actually starts the game anyway and I guess I haven't really seen many examples of guys voted in that really shouldn't be in the game, it's just the possibility that bugs me. I like the idea of only being able to register one vote, but that is very difficult to accomplish when you have online voting.

So like we should only be really voting for like say Hossa and few others... cause a majority of them on the ballots are playing jr. level hockey right now... no where near deserving of the All-star game... but this is where the popularity contest will win out.

I see the future.

100+ points for Hossa and Zetterberg

90+ points for Datsyuk

;)

HAHAHA I LOVE IT! The Montreal fans have made the All-Star voting a complete joke. I see that Dallas fans have been stuffing the ballot box, to a lesser extent. Turco is in 2nd place? His stats are pitiful so far this season.

Theres an easy and simple way to avoid this....don't let people vote more than once!

Ookay so, it's impossible for us to catch up now due to the 1 vote per minute s***, overnight I can only get about 250 votes in with my autoclicker/autotalker :\ Damn Habs

the ASG is a joke as far as I am concerned, but the Eastern conference really is a joke. Price with 139,000 votes (twice the number Luongo has amassed) and the entire starting lineup all Habs. <_<

Are the refs voting? :hehe:

Total joke - obvious ballot stuffing. Or folks have NOTHING else to do in Montreal.

Alex Tanguay with >126,000 votes for third place? :rotflmao:

and the last place in the pacific division Stars with the #1&2 forwards? :rotflmao:

Some players who were voted in last year opted not to go. That says a lot, I think. The whole thing is ridiculous in terms of fan ballot stuffing-voting in Montreal. I wouldn't blame any player who chooses to rest or find another excuse to opt out.

This how we should vote in politics for our candidates online! f*** the voting machines and long lines. And at first hand the voting website would make sure you're a US citizen when you register so no illegal alien voting. It's just that the online ballots would close on the 1st Tuesday in Nov as usual and BAM! next President, Senator, or Congressman is voted in once polling closes. Getting the results wouldn't take a whole night either. No electoral BS just law abiding citizens stuffing the ballot box for the'yre favorite candidate.

I can't stand the ASG. This year's Eastern Conference lineup is a testament to why this system is so ridiculously flawed, along with the fact that threads like this exist on every hockey message board in existence (no offense to the OP). I hate hearing someone spout off statistics like "he was named to the ASG nine years in a row!" like it's some sort of accomplishment.

With that said, I'd love to see some different combinations. Crosby and Ovechkin together on the same line would be beautiful; premier playmaking meets top notch goal scoring. Hey, and maybe we'll finally get to see that Z-D-Hossa line we've been craving!

I just started voting today and couldn't believe the obvious crap going on in the Eastern Conference. Hopefully the NHL is checking into this. I mean it's so blatantly obvious. I can't believe two Dallas players lead the Western forward vote-getting. It's just stupid.

Last year I voted all the Wings 25 times each. This year I think I will vote for the non-Wings. Game is boring and no big deal. I would rather the Wings have the time off and be able to rest... especially Lidstrom, Z and Pavel. After the Stanley Cup run and watching them play so far this year I think they all will need the time off. Let the Canadians vote their players in ....... like I said NO BIG DEAL! Let them get tired and wasted.

I'm not sure how many All-Star Games you've seen, but no-one will be getting tired nor wasted from the ASG. Intensity is always at a minimum.
