It's a harmless late hit at the end of the period- THAT'S REAL HOCKEY! If the Wings want to do some hockey justice they'd have dressed Downey; yet they don't. It's quite clear they're skating around avoiding injury and dumping and chasing. I see this kind of hockey in the Swedish Elite League, truly... google some videos, you'll see. Passes aren't connecting. They look like they're playing hot potato out there - No real plan, just throw it from Player to Player and hope something works. Gripping their sticls too tight. They're turning the puck over like they don't want it. Just throwing it away. The shots they're taking are low quality. Again....throw it at Giguere and hope it goes in. They're losing every single battle. Giguere is popping out rebounds like a Pez dispenser. The Wings haven't gotten to a single one of them. Their puck retrieval is for caca. Looks like they're skating in oatmeal. Sloppy, sloppy, sloppy. What have these imposters done with the defending Stanley Cup Champion Detroit Red Wings? Wow. I completely disagree with this post. Perhaps I'll switch to the Detroit feed...... The Anaheim announcers are in shock that the Wings look so bad. I'm not saying I wouldn't do (or haven't done for that matter) what Moen did, but it's a BS late hit and should be penalized as such. The Ducks don't look at their best either, and that's what makes it even more irritating.
