IM not sure who did it, but a coyote had his hands around a wing's legs, lifted him up and slammed him down....no call...then he's down behind the play and can't get back...and the yotes score...f*** the NHL and f*** bettman...i'm so sick of watching the wings get shafted on the calls

This team is the same last year in respect to players, but they don't have the same mentality as last years team did. Giving up 3 goals a game is not the same team as last year.

:siren: Thank you!

But for the rest of you...lets continue to blame it on McClellan who's obviously the glue who held this team together. Get a grip people.

Todd McLellan was our assistant coach. The fact that our defense has become absolutely terrible after hiring Brad McCrimmon means its a defensive situation.

Do you have any clue that he's the new coach of the number one team in the league?

Do you have any clue that Maclean coached the defense last year?

McLellan coached the offense and the PP. But you're smart..right?

One person has "blamed" McLellan. And NO ONE has said it rests all on McLellan's shoulders. Whereas you have been the one saying the Wings will shake out of this thing after a few games. Maybe you should get a grip on the fact that roster talent or not, this team doesn't have what it takes unless changes are made.

Don't get me wrong, I also believeit has a lot to do with our players lacking the drive and hunger for the cup. The fact that it is just about the same team on paper shows its a mental issue as well. But you can't deny that the loss of McClellan and the hiring of McCrimmon didn't hurt.

This team is not the same team as last year. Unfortunately it is quite a bit different then last years team.

And for everyone who keeps telling others to get a grip in response to complaints, I ask you to please open your eyes. I understand some complaining is both annoying and far fetched, but too argue that things aren't very, very downtrodden for this squad is asinine.

McLellan coached the offense and the PP.

So you're telling me that as an assistant coach, he had no effect on the defense? Right. He was part of a great coaching staff that is no more. If it were so great, they would've gotten their horses running by now. Without doubt, McLellan had significant input in ALL aspects of the team last year. Theres a reaon no one was designated to be a defensive specialist. Whats telling is that when McLellan left, the Wings thought they SHOULD go out and get a defensive coach. That alone should tell you that McLellan had some effect on this teams defense.

But regardless of that, what needs to happen is a few roster changes. Shanny and Steve were great too, but they were a hindrance in their later years. There are some guys on this team that, despite the talent, are taking away from this team taking the next step this season. And I'm fan with that and all, because I'm not setting myself up to think that this team is going to repeat without changes.
