Ejected Fan

I just caught the end of a comment during the wings game that a fan was ejected. Im sure it was just for something stupid and pointless but im curious what it was about anyways. Anyone catch what happened?

it was probably the the person who threw something on the ice during play.

Dude I was there and had a perfect view of the entire thing. The guy was drunk and was extremely pissed at the call for the penalty shot, and during the next play the guy was banging and screaming as loud and as hard as he could at the ref on the other side of the glass at center ice. Of course the ref wasn't turning around, so the guy threw his hat onto the ice to get his attention and flicked him off and continued to scream and yell. Eventually the guards from like 2-3 sections over were congregating to take this guy away, and he complied, but the entire time he was climbing the steps he was screaming at the ref and threatening him and whatnot.

Quite the spectacle.

Someone threw something after the penalty shot I think. I taped it and uploaded it to youtube, but you can't see anything in my video.

The guy didn't throw anything until about 30 seconds after play resumed. He was yelling and screaming at the ref and decided to throw something when the ref refused to give him any attention.

I was on the other side of the rink across from it and looked like a bottle

Refs boned us. I don't care what you say about how badly the Wings played. Lebda didn't cover the puck, he pushed it. Holmstrom gets raped, but it doesn't matter because it's Holmstrom. Dan Cleary clearly had his arm held on what could have been a breakaway. Hank was hit from behind onto the ice before the puck was anywhere near him. The hold on Franzen behind the net in their zone.

These are legitimate calls these days that totally slipped by the refs head somehow; and yet they make s*** up when it comes to calling penalties on the Wings. Here's your ******* parity. Champs DON'T get the calls. Eat s*** Bettman.

We got boned. We always get boned.

Lay off our boys.

I did not see the game and can not attest to some of the claims that have been made in this thread, but I do remember a time that if things like this did occur, Scotty would send a tape to the league to point out issues.

I wish it was on FSN last night so we could have heard Mickey rip into him.

No s***! I was sitting in the waiting room at the hospital last night scrolling through their TV thinking the game was on FSN. I find FSN and all I see was tan beauties in bikini's. Some other guys in the waiting room were like "hey, I do not mind watching this!"

So I looked at them and said, well I guess the game is on VS. In my book, hockey is more important than what is on this channel and since hockey is not on, I am switching the station due to the nature of the program and women being in the room. They agreed and their wives smiled at me.

I totally agree with one addition: The wings sucked last night.

LOL

Yeah, I love it when Mickey makes some kind of noise and then goes silent because he's not allowed to comment on the officiating. Ken Daniels is a little more tame, but Mickey, you can just hear him fuming in semi-silence.

Mickey ALWAYS rips on the officiating no matter who it is against.
