Elshupacabra 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2009 (edited) Update on the Guerin trade: From Islanders: Guerin To Pittsburg: conditional draft pick (5th 4th or 3rd depending on playoff position) Edited March 4, 2009 by Elshupacabra
Konnan511 1,736 Report post Posted March 4, 2009 (edited) Guerin for 5th, unless the Pens make playoffs it's a 4th, if they win a round it's a 3rd. Edited March 4, 2009 by Konnan511
edicius 3,269 Report post Posted March 4, 2009 The rumor is Talbot and a pick for Guerin. Conditional draft pick. 3rd rounder if the Pens win a round of the playoffs.
Namingway 146 Report post Posted March 4, 2009 I sure hope not. I guess I'm alone in doing that though. hmm I'm kinda with you on this one, I wouldn't want to see anyone from the roster be traded but wouldn't mind if it's someone from the farm or a draft pick for someone worth it. If we could get Neil for Howard and a 2nd or 3rd, I would not mind that one bit
Hockeytown_Ryan 122 Report post Posted March 4, 2009 miro has become one of the worst underachievers in the latter part of his career... he belongs overseas or in the AHL Adding Guerin is THAT much better tho?
Guest Shoreline Report post Posted March 4, 2009 Wow, the Isles rid of Guerin without much in return. They must have wanted to dump him badly or are just retarded.
Opie 308 Report post Posted March 4, 2009 OMG THE MISSING PIECE PLAN THE PARADE!!!!!!1111 And on a side note, has anyone noticed that the Pens have actually performed about a million times BETTER without Crosby in the lineup? Makes ya wonder... I like to refer to this as AROD simplex I, this is when he is on the team however the team performs better with him not in the lineup. AROD Simplex II is when the team's overall record increases when said superstar is traded for 2 prospects and a pick. AROD Simplex III is when the star player is absolutely infatuated with a player who was on the team before said superstar got there, but in a completely non-*** way! AROD simplex IV is when the star player joins your team and destroys the chemistry and you wish your team had the 2 prospects and a pick back. AROD simplex V is actually the first stage of Manny-itis which is when you are so fed up with the player you are willing trade him to another team and offer to pay his whole salary, and said team asks you to throw in another player because this guy free is not worth the headaches!!! Sorry for the baseball analogy!
AtomicPunk 296 Report post Posted March 4, 2009 I think we have a backlog of younger players that need the roster spots, not bringing in new players. That's just me.
T.OWingsFan 7 Report post Posted March 4, 2009 Guerin hasn't been good for a number of years. Besides, the Pens already have a has-been on the team. His name is Satan.
The Secret 304 Report post Posted March 4, 2009 Penns signed Geurrin for a great deal. 5th round pick 4th if they make the playoffs 3rd if they win a round Thats a great deal.

Vladifan 680 Report post Posted March 4, 2009 The word from the TSN streamers is that the Sharks and Wings are now trying to get Neil. I have no idea where they got that from. Just passing it on...

Third Man In 2,091 Report post Posted March 4, 2009 I like to refer to this as AROD simplex I, this is when he is on the team however the team performs better with him not in the lineup. Only difference: A-Rod's on steroids. Crosby needs Midol. Otherwise the analogy holds.
