I'm not worried about Osgood. He knows more than anyone that this game is not on him. It won't phase him. If he started it would be another thing, but this was a complete trainwreck of a game before he reached for his helmet.

Ah, but consider that in Anaheim they could barely scrape together enough Cup-victory revelers to fill the Pond's parking lot. By your logic the city should have been going ******* insane.

I think there's ultimately more to it than "Oh, it's a free event, let's just go because it's there". I still stand by the fact that with employment being such a massive issue in Michigan people simply can't afford to go to games on any kind of regular basis, let alone for late rounds of the playoffs.

Anaheim is Anaheim... it's not even close to the same. Detroit is still Detroit but it's not "hockeytown". Everyone knows who the Red Wings are, everyone knows they are good, but it's not the with the same enthusiasm as it was a few years ago. People in Anaheim don't know who the Ducks are. Again, it's really not even comparable.

this game is almost comical. bet the preds fans are feeling good though. like we did when we beat san jose 6-0. bottom line for me is we split the series with the sharks. from that i;d say this team can play when they want to, tonight apparently was not one of those nights. take heart though, tuesday's game is on fsn and the pistons got bumped to fsn+

Yeah. That fact alone leads me to dismiss this game entirely. Nashville is simply not capable of playing an entire period without doing SOMETHING illegal, much lone two and a half of them.
