For a team with 40+ plus wins, 90+ pts and in the top 3 overall in the league we have come up with some pretty stinky efforts this year....4-1...not over yet !!

Ha ha -- wow.

Thinking back, how weird was it watching Mason stop a breakaway. I forgot goalies did that from time to time - I have developed a mindset that there is absolutely, positively no way a goalie can stop a breakaway in regulation play.

19 shots, 15 saves. Are those acceptable numbers, or am I just being a "fair weather fan" again.

Osgood sucks. Is not ready to be in the NHL. Send him back to the minors where he belongs.

LOL. Yeah he's not ready. Let's send him down for a couple years till he's NHL ready. Then we can bring him back up and see what he's made of. WOOOOOOO.

Now, I hope guys need to realize the importance of the goalie. Mason is covering up some big saves against us. When both Franzen and Hossa will be FA, we do not have to sign both. Regard the season Nick's season is over, let's get Luongo. We need a good goalie. If we sign with both Hossa and Franzen, what is our ridiculous goaltending gonna be? Osgood and Howard? I am not blaming those two goalies but can we go far with them next season? Hell no.

Is BJ defense playing great right now? No, but Mason is covering up their faults. I am not saying Osgood is playing bad right now. I am only talking about only the importance of goalie. This BJ team looks like 05-06 season's Oilers with Rolloson, who killed us. Same with 03-04 season's Flames, which played very hard and beat us.

We just look lazy right now. We had 3 days break before this game. Well, maybe Mason turns back to his games after a little slump but come on, this game is just brutal. Why can we not play with full effort when we play against Preds, Jackets, and some other weak teams?

I've contemplated that myself. Is this teams defense really going to be any better than it is now when its spearhead by an aging Lidstrom and Rafalski and with Kronwall looking like nothing more than a good #3? Say what you want, both Rafalski and Lidstrom have regressed this season. Next season, the only difference will be Ericsson on the back-end, and our offense - whats been winning us games - is going to get worse simply because of the cap.

Honestly, I really, really regret the Rafalski signing. I would've preferred the signing Schneider, simply because Schneider was only looking for a short-term year contract, and Rafalski's contract on the back-end is precisely what takes us out of play for Bouwmeester.

A susbstantial change on defense or goaltending is what this team needs, both now and in the coming years.

So all 4 goals were his fault?

The Wings are going to have to get over it now, because Osgood is about as good as it's going to get the playoffs like it or not.

How many times this season has someone said that? So all 5 goals were Osgoods fault? So all 6 goals were Osgoods fault? That's just my point, he's not getting better, he won't get better. So might as well ride Conklin. This whole loyalty thing is getting old.

I think he played good and surely 4 goals were not all his fault but like Mason right now, Ozzie has to make big stops too.

This game is all Babcock's fault. Separated Datsyuk and Zetterberg. What a ridiculous line up that was: Zetterberg + Maltby
