Great. Now I have to get up at 930 in the morning. <_<

Yeah, I never liked games this early. Who in their right minds is up at 9:30am on a Sunday?! Maybe to have a glass of water to mitigate the hangover, before crashing again.

You think you've got it bad. I work the graveyard shift, get done at 7:00. Go home, change, head to church, teach 2nd through 4th graders in Sunday School, which lets out at 11:30, which is the time the game is on here. So I have to make the 20 minute drive home in 7 minutes to be here for the puck drop, and with the flooding, there are only 2 bridges open between Fargo and Moorhead, so I have to detour. <deep breath>

On the other hand, at least I won't be hung over!

Ahhhh IIIIIIII get it now.

I thought all the April Fools threads got deleted?!?

Actually, this was posted earlier in the week.

Also, not all of the April Fools threads have been deleted; only the ones where the people who have caught on have not kept their mouths shut and played along.

Odd that they don't mention what is so important that they move an NHL hockey game up that early for.... what? Broadcast of what?? The next installment of Celebrity Apprentice? <_<

If this is true, NBC sucks beyond redemption.

edit: yep. True. My cable schedule shows the game starting at 11:30AM. Good grief. There is nothing on of merit later, except golf. Golf, as we know, is more important than a hockey game, and certainly worth inconveniencing an arena full of people who paid for tickets, and the reigning Stanley Cup champs.

I hope all their golf balls go right in the water hazard, until they run out of golf balls.

I was just poking fun at the silliness of nationally broadcasting a Minnesota Wild game.

What does NBC see in this game?

Boring matchup.. 2 defensive teams.. big fun!not.

sorry to call you out like this but...

the red wings have the most goals for in the NHL..

and yeah i think its a liddle silly that NBC plays hockey games @ 12:30 but like southernwingsfan, i just want the games to be on a national tv station. as long as i can give the NHL my ratings in the US, i will... even if it means listening to pierre mcguire :bad:

Minnesota is one of the biggest "hockey states" in U.S, Detroit is one of the best teams in the NHL...boring matchups but makes sense if they wanna get high rates when broadcasting western conference

i know you are used to it... but it always amazed me that for a lot games out east here you have them starting when you are still technically at work... how do you manage to watch those games when they say start at 4:30pm your time?

Because of that, I would never complain about the 10:30 starts here because the alternative for me is having to miss games (just like the stupid olympics).
