Wow. The momentum shift in this game really gives this game a playoff feel.

Another late minute goal just really sucked the life out of the Joe. And we've really, REALLY, got to work on the powerplay. It's been just dismal as of late.

and let the LGW meltdown begin....

Osgood simply missing the puck aside, how the f*** can 4 Wings be around the play and not ONE of them getting in the way of the puck? That was a complete lack of "wanting it" if I've ever seen one....

Give me a break... how do you blame Oz for that

Because he's to blame for everything. Convenience and logic rarely meet.

Osgood is overplaying pretty much every situation, i just can't believe how he can say he's feeling really good and confident.. he lacks everything

Anyone else notice that NBC is promoting Zetterberg in the same manner as Crosby and Ovechkin? I can see the Wild threads now, "Zetterberg Zetterberg Zetterberg Zetterberg Zetterberg Zetterberg Zetterberg BIG DRIVE!!! Zetterberg Zetterberg Zetterberg Zetterberg."

How the heck does Ozzie get so out of position on that....He's been an NHL goalie for how long and can't position himself at all anymore.

There's no way you can pin that on Ozzie. So many opposing players in front of the net, there's no right place to be. Defensive breakdown led to that goal, plain and simple.

All started by Osggods crap handling of the puck.

That's all on the D. Ozzie played it perfect to the Defenseman and he gave it up. We're not going far in the playoffs if our D continues on like this... It's got to stop!

You can't blame Osgood on that last play... the defense let those guys just chill in the slot uncontested, and it was Datsyuk who turned it over behind the net.

Because the other goalie is standing on his head. He should be compared to the other goalie. That's what will happen come playoff time.

I agree, but have the Wild not left Backstrom alone with a few Wings in front about 10 times already this game? Have we scored 10 goals?

Its come down to this - Osgood HAS to save some goals. The defense has been great tonight. You can't have them worrying that if they make ONE mistake, its in the net. Because thats how its been all year.

I am so sick of Osgood it is not even worth fuming about anymore. He is absolutely, unequivocally, the worst goalie in the NHL, starting or otherwise. I don't care we won cups with him in the past - it was great, but the past doesn't win you games in the present.

The only thing that comes close to my Osgood induced nausea is the people (you know who you are) who refuse to face reality and continue to coddle his inept ass horrid game after horrid game. The list starts from George "I don't write about it unless I can whine about it" Malik, all the way down to the sh*t goaltending enablers on these boards.

He is a joke -- plain and simple. It hasn't been a bad game here and there, it is bad game every time he is between the pipes. It's a shame that we will probably not repeat this year (though I pray I am wrong) all because a goalie who is capable of winning simply cannot get over his "issues".

Ozzie is showing us today with his jaw dropping 13 saves on 15 shots, with both goals being jokes (the first one assisted by Osgood himself), that he is ready to lead us in the playoffs.

I think he was talking about the Wild's momentum and the wings downfall that period.

and as usual red wings has shot twice the amount of shots on the opposite goaltender and yet osgood has let in a couple on half of that.

Book this as another loss.

that goal was not Osgood's fault. The defenseman left his post and a guy was wide open in front of the net. Then all the players came scrambling back, but it was too late. Conklin wouldn't have stopped that either... ignorant fans...

SHHHHHHH

Thou shalt not besmirch thy Wings savior Conklin. Thou shall be drawn and quartered!!!

Dude you are clueless. No defense is ever going to play perfect. Minnesota's goalie this game alone has saved the team's bacon numerous times. Wings have one defensive flub and the puck ends up rolling into the back of the net. LOOK at Osgood's positioning on that play, its absolutely horrific. He's so focused on cutting down the angle on every shot, that he ends up overplaying and overthinking situations.
