Hitchcock says Wings' wingers cheat on face-offs

Last year Terrien complained about Obstruction, now they cheat on face-offs.. lol is the wings the biggest cheating team or is he just frustrated he lost and wanna put the blame on something?

Just a quick note on something Columbus coach Ken Hitchcock said this afternoon in his post-practice presser at Joe Louis Arena.

Hitchcock emphasized that in order for the Blue Jackets to make inroads in the series against Detroit, they'll have to do better on faceoffs.

"I don’t think Detroit can do anything in drag racing, because they would never pass the Christmas tree test," Hitchcock said. "They would be red-lined every time because their wingers cheat. So we’re going to cheat just like they are. That goal that they scored, the power play goal they scored, that winger went in on the move. Good for him. But we’re going to do the same thing. So it’ll be interesting to see who gets kicked out first. "

Hitchcock was talking about Niklas Kronwall's goal, scored eight seconds into a power play after Johan Franzen won the faceoff and Mikael Samuelsson passed the puck to Kronwall.

It's not unusual for teams to cheat on faceoffs, of course. It's just a matter of being good enough not to get caught.

Even if the Wings gave his team back that goal, it's still 3-1. What can he come up with to ***** away the 3 other goals now?

Pardon my French, but what a classless sack of s***.

Whatever happened to the days of losing with grace? Rather it seems today these babies clamor for excuses, crying like whiny little ******* all the while. I'd expect behavior like this from fans perhaps, but now professionals (a term I'm using lightly here) are joining the excuse gravy train and its just pathetic.

Kiss of Death.

I can't remember the last time a bitching coach has advanced in a round - most of them wait until at least the 2nd or 3rd game to start making excuses.

I guess it sends a better message to your team than

"when they choose to play like that, there is no team in the league that can beat them".

Boy, I bet he wised he was never quoted on that!

After the interference/high sticking murder Columbus got away with last night, Hitchcock really has some balls to go and talk about us "cheating" at face-offs.

Grow up. It's the playoffs. s*** doesn't get called. Did Babcock sit there and go off about Columbus' players high sticking Flip or interfering with almost anybody we had on the ice? No, he certainly didn't. He knows to stay out of that crap.

Take a lesson, Hitch-pansy. You're starting to sound like my seven year old cousin when her Barbies get taken away for bad behavior.

Hitch...don't be a *****,

using that excuse is a sinch when in a pinch

We wont flinch-three more games till we clinch

This pettiness about cheating will create a media lynch

Call ahead to the golf course my fluffy friend, for when you fall down in the sand trap, to get you out -they'll need a winch.
