edicius 3,269 Report post Posted April 21, 2009 Can't fault him for still wanting to play, just as long as it's not in the NHL (no offense to him or any of his fans). I wish him much success with HC Pardubice and, potentially, in the Olympics.

VM1138 1,921 Report post Posted April 21, 2009 Gotta love Hasek. His attitude last year was great and gained him even more respect from me. Obviously he loves the game and he's doing a lot to grow it over in his home country. Good luck to him!

C-TownWing 0 Report post Posted April 21, 2009 (edited) which current NHL goalies are Chech (Vokun???) is hasek still their best bet? that would be sweet if he played in 2010! I think Roman Cechmanek's playing ok in the Czech league lol. It's pretty thin overall. Vokoun's the obvious starter, but there could definitely be a place on the team. Best wishes to Dom...in his prime, he was the best I ever saw and Nashville series aside, he was still an NHL-caliber goalie last year. I was happy to hear about this--I'm a firm believer that if you love the game, keep playing it as long as you are able. Edit: Factual correction on Cechmanek. I thought he was in the KHL for some reason. Oh wait, I was thinking of Robert Esche. Edited April 21, 2009 by C-TownWing

Pavelec, Mensator and Stepanek are all young promising goalies, so we will see. It would be kinda cool to see Dom play in 2010 Olympics...against Chris Chelios

It would be kinda cool to see Dom play in 2010 Olympics...against Chris Chelios I was just going for a cheap Cechmanek reference there. Probably should've used the ninja face or something. Point being that it's pretty wide open after Vokoun and he's definitely got a shot.
