I usually try to go to one playoff game each year (usually the opener), but I couldn't do it this year because of college. I was going to wait until the 3rd round hoping to see an epic Wings/Sharks WCF, but now it appears that will not happen. I think Anaheim in the 2nd round will be more entertaining than Vancouver, Calgary, or Chicago in the 3rd round. I'm thinking about purchasing game 5 tickets for game 5 of round 2, but I need to make sure that would happen on or after May 8th. I know it's going to be close. Thanks! The second round cannot start until the first round has ended. I think the tightest series is Chicago/Calgary, and the earliest that could finish is Monday. If that were the case, the Wings might open on Wednesday, depending on how late their opponent finished. My guess is that they won't be playing on the 8th. That happened to my boyfriend and I during the Dallas round last year. Luckily the hotel they had the reception at had a bar, which had a tv, which had VS. Guess where we spent most of the night? LOL I was praying for Friday because that's when I'm done with classes and can come home. My dad already got tickets to game 1, and I really don't feel like driving all the way to Detroit and back on a school night when I can just come home on Friday and go. RockyMountainWingGal 108 Report post Posted April 27, 2009 With two game sevens already on Tuesday, it looks like Thurs or Friday. Odds are one of the West series has a game 7 on Weds too. Kind of sucks waiting around for a date.... Personally, starting Friday night would be nice.....good way to end the work week with a Wings PO series starting, and avoids the two-day layoff Thurs-Sun.... It seems like the Wings got the bulk of their West Coast late start time games done earlier in the season which was nice going down the stretch. I don't miss those late games one bit. I'll be in Detroit on Sat for a concert and am hoping Game 2 is Sunday..
