GMRwings1983 8,803 Report post Posted May 13, 2009 I just hope the game doesn't go into OT. It's hard to predict what will happen. Logic says that game 7 means a team will come out playing hard, but with this team you never know. They've been impassionate many times this season so I wouldn't be surprised if they gave another lazy ass effort in the next game. I just don't want to see us lose to this team yet again, even though I have a slight inkling that doing so would result in less soft euros being on the roster next season. xBrave_Heartx 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2009 I knew something was wrong.. every thing was going to perfect before the game started.. i think the wings expected alot less of a fight and came out stale.
dat's sick 1,002 Report post Posted May 13, 2009 Of course we can. The fate of the Wings is entirely in their hands. All they have to do is play the full 60 minutes and they SHOULD have no problems. Tonight they played about 5-10 minutes and still only lost by one goal. However it is scary to think that one or two bounces or calls that go the Ducks way and they could take the series.. I'm hoping the Wings come out flying in Game 7 and take a 3-4 goal lead in the 1st period. My nerves can't handle it if it's a really close game. OT would destroy me. A good majority of those 'soft euros' are the reason we're in the playoffs to begin with. But hey, let's put 20 Boogards on the ice next season and see how far that takes us! shoe 165 Report post Posted May 13, 2009 Of course they can, the question should be: Do they want to win it more than the Ducks do?
KrazyGangsta 79 Report post Posted May 13, 2009 All right guys it's 2 days away ... game 7 !!! This could possibly be our last game of the season so you know what let's give it all we got. Make the Ducks life a living hell. For everyone going to game get in Hiller's head ... keep chanting his name / keep booing Scotty / Pronger. Throw some Octy's on Hiller's head ... do anything to get in there head. De-concentrate them. I don't know if this helps but put like flashy things in back of ozzie's net glass to screw there vision. We got to help our team win. Tell all Wings fans to be loud at the arena ... VERY LOUD *P.S.* Pass the word around. !!! Go Wings Go !!!
Dabura 12,232 Report post Posted May 13, 2009 I'm thinking Babs paid Neids to beat the crap out of Dats. Because, hey, If that's what it takes to wake him up, go for it.

TSD 10 Report post Posted May 13, 2009 Please win, the only thing that would make me cringe more than playing detroit in a 7 game series is facing a team that can beat detroit.....and the sharks.

WingsfaninGermany 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2009 I really appreciate the effort here, but I would like to see the Wings beat the Ducks because they are the better team. We all know this is true so bring on game 7!

GoalieManPat 1,007 Report post Posted May 13, 2009 Why would that wake him up? He has been bad for quite some time now. True Datsyuk hasn't been putting up numbers but hes been FAR from bad. Hes been the best backchecking forward the whole series. No Duck is safe with the puck when hes around. Lets not also forget that if it hadnt been for an amazing save by Hiller at the end of tonights game and in the 2nd period of game 5 he would be on a two game goal streak. Hes also one of the few wings that has skated hard every shift this series. Sometimes players are just snakebitten. Its happens. Its a good thing Datsyuk is the best all around player in the league as he is still extremely important even if hes not scoring.
under_par_00 45 Report post Posted May 13, 2009 wings are done. Alright, Im getting sick of your posts. This one here, and the one in the GDT. The Wings will win game 7. The ice in Anaheim was terrible. This hurts a skilled team like the Wings a lot more than a team full of goons. The Wings know it is do or die time, and they will come to play. Look at game 4 and game 5 of this series when it was do or die time. Look at the regular season how the Wings performed in these situations (The 2 games vs the Hawks come to mind at New Years this year, when the Wings were at risk of losing the division lead). We get home ice advantage next game, last change, etc. Take a look at the 2 goals scored by the Duckies tonight....both were pretty lucky. The first one was definatly ALL luck, and if that were the Wings, the ref would have blown the play dead when the puck was IN BETWEEN the goalies legs. Maybe their second goal was a little more deserved, nice deflection, but that is a lot of luck. Look at where all of the Wings deflections went tonight...wide of the net or over the net. Now instead of posting "The Wings are done" and "Wings will lose", please explain why you think that is true.

Yeah, but it is just one game and anything can happen, ie Ozzie lets in few softies and bye bye hockey hello links. Wings had great chance and they put s***ty effort into the game once again. Too bad. Fortunately, they still have one more chance to win the series, but you never know..it's hockey. Edited May 13, 2009 by Reds4Life

GoalieManPat 1,007 Report post Posted May 13, 2009 I agree, but it's the playoffs and he is being paid a lot of money to score, not just backcheck. And he is creating those chances to score and its just not going in. There are more important things effecting the Wings results than Dats play. The big one is 75% of the team doesnt start skating until the last ten minutes of the 3rd.

Yes, at least with the Wings, you're opposition only has 6 men on the ice. With the Ducks, you have to face 10.

You're right, but the odds are Ozzy wont be letting in softies, and the bad breaks will not continue (at least not get worse). We only lost by 1 goal tonight. Lost by 1 goal in game 2 (3OT). And lost by 0 goals in game 3. I'd put my money on the Wings winning game 7. Hands down. Edited May 13, 2009 by under_par_00
