themule0932 0 Report post Posted May 28, 2009 Helm just needs to have his play carry over into the regular season next year unless he is just a playoff guy and I would not be too upset with that because we got a lot of depth to get us throught the regular season. Jake Ryan 1 Report post Posted May 28, 2009 Helm's new nickname is "The Ringer". Ringer comes in at the end of the season and gives us the little extra we need for the cup.

SoDakWing 8 Report post Posted May 28, 2009 This kid is awesome. One of my fave players. He will be my next purchase of a jersey. The energy he has everytime he steps on the ice is amazing. So happy to see him get the GWG last night. He deserves it, and has deserved it for some time. GO HELM GO WINGS
sdogg1m 3 Report post Posted May 29, 2009 That PK was one of the most amazing sports related things I've seen in the last few years. Incredible determination. His offensive skills may suddenly show up, it seems that he is getting alot more comfortable handling the puck and confident in going around/through guys. I was watching the 08 Stanley Cup DVD and Helm talked about never being able to do some of the moves that Pav and Hank does. Watching that PK, I would say, he was wrong. WingsZR2 1 Report post Posted May 31, 2009 Darren Helm is exactly what this team needed in the postseason. Someone that will leave it on the line every shift and come back for more 3 minutes later. Dude's got drive like Stevie Y.
Heroes of Hockeytown 694 Report post Posted May 31, 2009 It seemed like he was out there and had the puck every other shift, but he did play a (probably) career-high 17 minutes tonight.
Stiffy 0 Report post Posted May 31, 2009 He is just so much fun to watch. I love how Babs is putting him out more now. Penalty kill? Duh! The guy could just be a playoff player for the rest of his career. I mean, he shows everyone, "THIS is how you play playoff hockey." God DAMN, he is making this great. xtrememachine1 795 Report post Posted May 31, 2009 I was a fan of this guy last year, but this year, holy crap! I might buy a Helm jersey if he keeps this up. lol Funny, on Friday, I was talking with a good friend of mine and talked about Helm's PK against the Hawks and he was like, "Who? What was his name again?" I bet he knows who Darren Helm is now.
DraperFan MN 0 Report post Posted May 31, 2009 He has been a playoff wild card for us the last couple of years. I imagine a roster spot is his next year. The crowd at the Joe loves him, I love him, and the LGW boards love him. It would be a crime if we can't see what this kid can do over the course of an entire season. Offsides 21 Report post Posted May 31, 2009 I have been giving so much praise to all of our young guys in these playoffs. There are certain key players who have made a huge difference and where would we be without them!
Yak19 303 Report post Posted May 31, 2009 He makes my nipples hard! P.S - I am not ***, i have a girlfriend but his play just makes my nips harden to the point that they can penetrate titanium steel.

Rocket Queen 30 1 Report post Posted May 31, 2009 Bump Bump I hope for our sake that this is not just a flash in the pan! He's a man-child!! I seriously doubt he's a flash in the pan.. He was great last year and he's even better this year. Helmer is a total stud... I effin love that kid. I don't think they can keep him out of the big club next year. dat's sick 1,002 Report post Posted May 31, 2009 (edited) I was saying earlier in the season, when people were afraid we didn't have the "Dallas Drake factor" this year, that Helm could maybe add that same kind of energy and physicality to the team. I had no idea he'd be this good. I mean he was great last year.. but he's taken it to another level. Future superstar if he keeps this up and develops a little more of a scoring touch.
