ShanahanMan 473 Report post Posted June 13, 2009 (edited) The Pens have replaced the Avs as being our arch rivals? I sure as hell think so now. Edited June 13, 2009 by ShanahanMan

Rikadyn 16 Report post Posted June 13, 2009 Nope, don't play them often enough to be even considered...
datsyukismyfriend 4 Report post Posted June 13, 2009 no, if anything the Ducks have. i can't stand either ******* team. that said, the wings played like they actually gave a damn against the ducks. against the pens the wings have coasted 2/3 of the time. so it's clear the wings dislike the ducks more. VM1138 1,921 Report post Posted June 13, 2009 The Pens have replaced the Avs as being our arch rivals? I sure as hell think so now. No. There's nothing to hate about the Pens except Mr. Invisble (Crosby), I don't expect them to make any noise in the future. Anaheim is our arch rival. There really wasn't a whole lot of intensity during the Finals except for the last ten minutes of each game. Pittsburgh is just sort of...there.
ShanahanMan 473 Report post Posted June 13, 2009 no, if anything the Ducks have. I think when it comes to the Western conference they are, but overall, I think after two match ups in Stanley Cup, the Penguins are now the main rivals.
uk_redwing 495 Report post Posted June 13, 2009 Wings-Ducks is the only thing we have close to a rivaly anymore with our anti-fighting roster.
ChicksDigScars 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2009 (edited) Oh no. Our arch rivals will always be someone else in the West. Right now, it is the Ducks. And I'm sure most Pittsburgh fans would consider Philadelphia as their's. Edited June 13, 2009 by ChicksDigScars

Nightfall 871 Report post Posted June 13, 2009 no, if anything the Ducks have. Yup, the Ducks are going to be our new rivalry after this last playoff series. The rough stuff in game 6 solidified that I think.
ShanahanMan 473 Report post Posted June 13, 2009 Guess I'm against the majority here.... But I do think the Ducks are a close second

FirstSamuel1745 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2009 Nah, not at all. I wouldn't really care that its the Penguins other than the fact that I go to school with a whole busload of them. Pens aren't even a small rival.
FirstSamuel1745 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2009 I wouldn't even say the Ducks either. The Hawks rivalry is the one on the horizon, and the heat will come more from Chicago fans than Detroit fans.
Yzerfan1999 81 Report post Posted June 13, 2009 Yeah, the Pens aren't dirty enough to be our rivals. Its the Ducks for sure.

And I think you saw the long term effects of the beating that the Ducks gave us, tonight. Getting through the Hawks was okay. But a seven game Finals? Not so much. I hate them. Worse than Sid or Geno. I think the order goes Anaheim, Chicago, San Jose, Colorado, St. Louis and THEN someone from the other conference. dat's sick 1,002 Report post Posted June 13, 2009 Bettman is our arch-rival. The Ducks are 2nd. The Pens are 3rd at best.
titanium2 867 Report post Posted June 13, 2009 The Pens have replaced the Avs as being our arch rivals? I sure as hell think so now. Unless one of them cross checks someone from behind and re-arrange his face then I don't think so. The Ducks are a rival because of their polar opposite style to the Wings.
